Is Pagan Hell and lake of Fire is revelation passed down from Noah?

I have 30+ verses regarding worshiping false Gods, their statutes, their ways, and that they were demons, however this persons opinion is that "Everyone knows God" thus the concept of hell was passed down from Noah to all, and not a true revelation to the Christians, and that it was simply modified by the pagans, and that we should embrace the concept!

Noah had no concept of hell other than the grave, so it would have been hard for him to pass it down.
The world would be a different place if everyone truly "knew God".
I've owned cats and dogs that "knew God" better than some people so it's hard to see exactly what you mean by that.
Everyone will eventually "know God," but many now definitely do not know him nor want to know him.
If hell were true as traditional christianity is preaching it, I wouldn't want to know him either.  :Peace2:

I think LOF/hell idea was even before that.....associated with the destruction of Sodom and

  Gomorrah..and the cities of the plains.   Fire rained down from heaven...6000 degrees..and

swirling lake like features...you can tell from archalogical features even to this day it

remains desolate.   To me this typifies the LOF....also it's close proximmity to dead sea...

also..the gates of hell referred to as fiery lava pits/lakes under the earth..........along with

  the fact that if you go deep enough under the earth........magma beneath the outer mantle.

           Fire and rock...Our God is a consuming fire..Our God is a rock..........I can see how

   these natural examples can shadow the spiritual...

My own research indicates that the "Hell concept" comes from pagan sources, and the Hebrew/Jewish/Christian tradition does not have it until it was inserted from Greek/Roman/Persian sources after the days of Origen.  You see, as pagans came into the body of believers, they brought their spiritual and intellectual habits and baggage with them.  This, in time, produced bad theology, and that, in time, produced bad translations.  In the fullness of time, we got the KJV and "Hell."  This document has BECOME Christianity to many people.

The KJV of the bible was born through incredible violence and murder.

As great Brittan fought and struggled against the pope and his minions.

One monarchy would ban all catholic institutions sag there churches and kill
there adherents.

The next monarchy would ban all church of England adherents and any one found to have scriptures in there native tongue English where tortured and killed as examples

Of coarse each side spoke for God .

Each others followers where condemned as heretics and killed.

Being killed was not enough the dead would be dug up and there bones smashed.

There was nothing left to frighten each others adherent in the flesh.
So there was the condemning the soul to an eternal torment in which the KJV
was born.

There was no "hell" until shortly before the King James Version. Before that it was Inferno (Latin) and Hades(Greek). The Romans and the Greeks had very similar mythical cosmologies, but it is important to remember that what we call myth was their religion/faith held deeply and enthusiastically, just as are the religions of today.

Hel, the goddess of the underworld in the Norse mythical cosmology ruled Hel, where the dead went to reside in various abodes/halls, depending on how they died(as warriors, disease or old age, etc.)

Sheol, set in the Hebrew cosmology as the resting place of the dead, or simply "the grave" -never had a concept of flames or eternal punishment connected to it.

The contemporary hell concept is really the Roman "Inferno" renamed under the nearest term the English of the 15 and 1600s (who had many Teutonic influences from the Norse invaders of many centuries who had at various times controlled substantial parts of Britain) could come up with(HELL), since a big part of there purpose was Anglicizing the Christianity to establish a separation from the Roman church.

My rebuttal: mmmmm, no.

I only accept proof from the Bible. Since there is none, hell, therefore does not exist. What can I say?  :dontknow:
