Title: "God doesn't hear your praise! Not if you have sin in your life."
Post by: Searching_For_The_Truth on September 18, 2014, 03:04:20 AM
This morning I read an article where a preacher went to a college and homosexual protestors were chanting "Jesus loves everybody" and the pastor said something along the lines of " No, you don't believe in Christians, Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commandments. You sinners don't love Jesus. You sinners hate Jesus!God doesn't hear your praise! Not if you have sin in your life. He won't forgive if you have sin in your life. "  When I read the comments for that articles, they were talking about how our society rejects true hellfire preachers and true love is preaching the truth to all and that if the apostles and Steven preached a gospel of love/inclusiveness they wouldn't have been stoned to death.

I was wondering how all of you would respond to an ET'er who says that if the Apostles (and early followers) preached Christian Universalism, then they wouldn't have been stoned to death like Steven did. How would you all respond to allegations that believers in UR are too soft on sin?

Here is a link to the article for those who are interested

They were stoned to death BECAUSE THEY PREACHED THE "GOOD NEWS". Peter proclaimed the restoration of all things from the beginning (Acts 3:19) and also said he was doing as the prophets had from ancient times.

Stephen was stoned because he spoke against the religion of the Pharisees, not because he preached helfire and brimstone.

Jesus does love everybody, and everybody will answer for their sins. Some will answer, Lord, Lord, didnt we prophesy and cast out demons and do many mighty works in your name and he will answer, depart from me you lawless ones I never knew you, for I was thirsty and you gave me no drink....

Some will answer, "Praise your holy Name my Savior and Lord, and He will hear their praise."

Some will weep and gnash their teeth, because of the wicked things that have done and said against God. But eventually, "Evryknee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."

"For as in Adam all died, SO ALSO IN CHRIST ALL shall be made alive."

In that case He never hears human praise because all have sinned

That was my reaction when I first read that line of what the pastor said

It's quite simple actually.

There is pure 100% Bible based and not 100% pure.
Over time Judaism has become polluted by the addition of many, many man-made laws and regulations. And they simply were unable to let go of those rituals.

Just compare the amount of rituals and added stuff between catholics and protestants. They both believe they do right. But European history shows the are prepared to wage war for a great many years over it.

Steven was stoned because of religious differences. Claiming that makes him wrong is like saying all Christians that were recently killed by ISIS had the wrong religious because they would still be alive if they were muslims.

Dear searching for  truth ,
I would simply   tell the Etrs    ''You certainly  do NOT know the ways of God ''

All things will be  dealt with according to His own desire  .

Jesus never addresses   any  homosexual  in His ministry    as to ''heal them''
Seems that would be an important issue  of sin  as exposing   error  as   sin as Jesus did in His ministry     in the 4 gospels
and how to fix    this by examples, but I  noted  Just how much     Jesus   warns the  scribes Pharisees and hypocrites   of the wrath to come .

and if you read Romans 1    about the homosexual  , I find the   things Paul    speaks against  it    is  found in  everyone , not just the homosexual  only

So I question   is the homosexual   example a  outward manifestation  of some spiritual     message  we need to look  deeper into  as an inner   working of men with men  ????

Why would it mention     even men  loosing the natural use of a woman   ?

I can see this as   a woman IS saved though child bearing

So I do believe it  is to do   with a perversion   of a spiritual  nature  , in the sense of   this,  a cutting off of the seed and offspring     of the  sons of God ,

Just as  it is  in the homosexual  lifestyle   , they have to create new ways to   ''have children ''  of their own  , that some are not their own    or they must    give their seed   in a cup  for a doctor to place in a   woman's  womb  , those devices  and  ways to  have what they want
Can we see this also in a spiritual picture as well ?

Only  two examples in the old  testament   that I can think of   off the top of my head  is
the   Lot story      of Sodom and Gomorrah  burning lusts   and desires for other men

, and the betrayal    of the  dead brother    to his  brothers  young widow  to spill his seed on the ground    , as not to    be fruitful and multiply

I just believe the Lord of Hosts is showing us   by nature    that goes against    nature     something  that is also   a   spiritual     perversion

I say this by what Paul does express as spiritual in nature    in the    explaining     the evils of sin being manifested     in what to look  for  , now we  do not just see homosexuals   only ,      But many   , both    men and women    in the natural   earthly bodies       doing this stuff  and could also    show  as the hidden  man of the heart as  an inner  working that God knows

Romans 1

28 So it was that when they gave God up and would not even acknowledge him,

God gave them up to doing everything their evil minds could think of.

29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness and sin, of greed and hate, envy, murder, fighting, lying, bitterness, and gossip.

30 They were backbiters, haters of God, insolent, proud, braggarts, always thinking of new ways of sinning and continually being disobedient to their parents.

31 They tried to misunderstand, broke their promises, and were heartless—without pity.

32 They were fully aware of God's death penalty for these crimes,

yet they went right ahead and did them anyway and encouraged others to do them, too.

I see these rally's as trying to persuade    others to join them   and be accepted by ALL   as NORMAL    ????

Only God can reveal     what is in a mans heart    , except by the Holy Spirit  given by God to  show us   and teach us     just what good and evil is    to God
1Corinth 2

...10For to us God revealed them through the Spirit;

for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?

Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.

12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God,

so that we may know the things freely given to us by God,

What a great opportunity that pastor missed!

I believe it's a lack of faith in God's mighty power that doesn't believe in His ability to untangle someone from their shackles whatever they may be..

To me another word for sin is imperfection, and we are all imperfect until we put on immortality and incorruptibility at His return..
