Title: Born again.
Post by: IceDash on January 18, 2009, 06:24:14 AM
Every christain believe that we have to be born again or we will never get to kingdom of God.

How about that Whoever believe Jesus will never perish but have eternal life.

(I wonder why it said the word "might" in that verse, it sound like we will fail if we don't)

It didn't sound like "all" but some will be saved, not all.

But you guys right about "I will draw all unto me" and "Every knee and every tongue will bow confess I am lord" (that's included Satan! because the word "every" mean every creature God made) nothing about all will die, but confess.

lol..too many confusing, I wish it simple. Not riddle.

Hi Bro...a literal translation of John 3:16 says this...For God so loved the world, that He gave the only Son born to Him, so that whoever is continually believing in Him, shall not be destroyed [in the Fiery Destruction of the Second Death], but shall be having Life in the Last Age.

Then 17 depends on the translation;  Darby, Concordant, and Young's says "may be saved"...
NIV says "to save the world through Him"....
Wycliffe says "but that the world be saved by him"...
World Wide English says "He sent him to save the world."
and the Greek Interlinear says, "but that may-be-being-saved the system through Him".

God's blessing, Js.

that's interesting, why the tranlator may it sound like "the save system" is broken?

Tranlators DO make errors, as DO those who endeavor to understand those translations...  :sigh:

In any event, it is NOT "up to us" to SAVE ourselves...  :dontknow:

SALVATION is the WORK of GOD, alone... no assistance is done by man, so that NONE can boast of that assistance... (Eph 2:8-10)
