A sin against infinite God calls for an infinite punishment?

I'm sure you all have heard that one.

However, since "infinite" isn't God's only attribute, couldn't we try replacing the word with something else?

How about... A sin against a loving God calls for a loving punishment?

A sin against a forgiving God calls for a forgiving punishment?

A sin against a merciful God calls for a merciful punishment, maybe?

They make God someone with a split personality.
A bit like Hitler. We all know the beast Hitler. But in his private life he was a gentle and caring man.
Do we call Hitler a caring leader?

It's the most dominant thing in someone personality we (should) look at.
We have a caring God that weeps if sparrow drops dead.
But that same God is happy and glorified by roasting most of the planet.

There is a reason why He calls Himself Father instead of supreme ruler of the universe or some other cool title. IMO that point to type of relationship.
A relationship He even put in the ten commandments.
Human laws are a reflection of our society. I think the ten commandments are a refelection too...

URs see God as someone who constantly hugs people and once in while give a corrective slap.
ETs see God as someone who constantly kicks the crap out of people and gives a occasional hug to an elected child.

Ask yourself what kind of Father-child relationship "Father" points to....
