Jacquelyn K. Heasley (JKH) has a gift of putting into one line what it takes others an entire article to say. Sometimes a handful of words planted in the heart changes a life. If one catches you, write it on a sticky note, place it where you can frequently see it and let it be planted in your being.

Plant the act and you will reap a habit.
Plant a habit and you will reap a character.
Plant a character and you will reap a nature.
Plant a nature and you will reap a destiny. —JKH
Fear comes from an Adamic nature — Faith comes from a Christ nature. —JKH
Use your ministry to build people, not people to build your ministry. —JKH
Your giving should not be to get, but to say “I have.” —JKH
A man will act out what he believes himself to be. —JKH
God never takes away anything that He doesn’t replace with Himself. —JKH
The man, full of himself, can never proclaim the Christ who emptied Himself. —JKH
Mercy allows you to continue on in sin; grace empowers you to overcome it. —JKH
It’s one thing not to sin—it’s another not to want to! —JKH
Abel’s blood cries out “vengeance”—Jesus’ blood cries out “mercy.” —JKH
Your inheritance isn’t Heaven, but He lives there. —JKH
The Resurrection is a person—not an event. —JKH
If you will be moved by men’s criticism, you will be moved by their praise—be dead to both! —JKH
If you teach men that God is the source of their pleasure and sin is the source of their pain, they will run to God and away from sin. —JKH
In Christ you don’t do good to earn favor—you do good because of your new nature. —JKH
