I am going to show verses that in my opinion show that these statements are true of spiritual death and not necessarily physical death:

Ephesians 2:1
2 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

I think you missed one, which I brought up in the other thread:

Rom 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

YLT Rom 8:2  for the law of the Spirit of the life in Christ Jesus did set me free from the law of the sin and of the death

CLV Rom 8:2 for the spirit's law of life in Christ Jesus frees you from the law of sin and death.

JM-NT Rom 8:2  For the law of the spirit of The Life within Christ Jesus [or: For the Law of Life's spirit, within Christ Jesus; or: For the Spirit's law of life within Christ Jesus] frees you (set you free) away from the Law of the Sin (the Failure; the Miss) and of the Death.

Is it fair to say that those in Christ Jesus are free from death?


2Co 3:17  Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

There is no law against love...it is full of mercy and forgiveness.Our Fathersaid'I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY...thus

mercy triumphs over judgement[law and it's penalties.]Thus Father further magnifies the law of Love....with mercy and grace

compassion and forgiveness....all the fruit of the spirit of LOVE...love perfected.
