Judgment=process of correction unto righteousness

I just finished reading, praying with great thanksgiving the devotional for March 22 from Daily Overcoming Devotional - Ray Prinzing ... and decided to post the entire message to Word Studies as it brought such comfort and hope to my mind and heart regarding the word  "judgment"

BALANCED HANDIWORK

So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands. Psalm 78:72

David had been taken from following the sheep in the pasture, and placed before Israel to feed them and guide the affairs of the kingdom, and thus we have this verse of tremendous commendation as to how he fulfilled his duties.  If this can be said of man, with all his inherent fragilities and weaknesses, how much more can it be said of our God, and the marvelous way He guides our steps, and conforms us to His image, that we might be found to His praise.

"The works of His hands are verity and judgment." Psalm 111:7  Two beautiful operations, blended and applied according to the need as we are being built up into Him.  The word "verity" is literally the word TRUTH. "Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part Thou shall make me to know wisdom."  Psalm 51:6  Only when this truth is within, permeating the very fiber of our being, until it has become our life, will we be able to fulfill the promise, "and they cannot sin, for His seed remaineth in them." Thus line upon line, precept upon precept, He unfolds the truth and writes it upon our hearts.  We rejoice in the illuminations, though they must be worked out in the practicality of every day living.  So with God's one hand unfolding a new measure of truth, we find that suddenly the other hand comes into operation to balance that work with judgment.

JUDGMENT -- this can become rather startling after a burst of truth - light has come.  Especially if you thought judgment meant punishment for sin, and start wondering what you did wrong to deserve this.  But judgment doesn't always imply that we have sinned, "for He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities."
Ps 103:10 JUDGMENT IS A PROCESS OF CORRECTION UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS, and He is simply girding us into alignment with the truth we received, so that we become experientially partakers of His reality.  He reveals the standard, then brings us into harmony with that standard.  Balanced handiwork to His glory and praise.

God corrects His children by teaching them, so He can approve them with love

  the 'word' is   'inculcate'  to teach and impress by frequent repetition.  Deut 6;7  impress them upon your children,

  talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you get up.

   tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. write them on the doorframes of your houses

  and on your gates.


    you can count on your GREAT TEACHERto do these things for you[His children]

  part of this judgement unto correction is dealt with in the parables about the unjust judge and God's way

of dealing with them.Also the widow's persistence..even with an unjust judge..who has no fear of God or

respect for men.  even unto His correction of the High Preist..If what I spoke was truth..then why did you strike me.


   the 'Heave' offering..or wave offering....positive connantation to heave offering before the Lord..and negative

   'Heave' as unjust judge...from the word temurah.

   back in the day of the 'unjust judges' who neither had fear of God or 'respect' of men..a person would have

to bribe an attendant to even get ahearing...and even 'gifts' to grease the palm of the unjust 'judge'

    He corrects us with HIS judgement..to lead us into understanding..and of God's. righteousness

     also..He declares His righteous staandards in the account of Eli and his sons.


   it is for preists of the Lord to know and declare the profane from the  holy.  it is for Kings[Psalms 101] to

rule with justice[Psalms 45;6]..and it is for prophets to speak His word in truth.

   He must do this refining testing and trying of all His people.......lest Ezekiel 19;14...Lament for Israel's

  princes.  Ezekiel 20;0  Judgement then restoration.......

        it will not be restored until He comes to whom it rightfully belongs[Jesus Christ] to Him I will give it......

I am prone to seeing judgment through the parable of the prodigal son, where judgment had nothing to do with God angry in the human sense. Rather allowing the inheritance to be spent down (turning them over) and waiting for the son to return to open arms. I think there is "torment" but not because God is hurting them. They are already devoured of themselves and eachother.

Patience... something we/me/men have not really even come to any idea of to... how He loves us. Peter said the Lord is long suffering..2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Now there is patience, there is love..an understanding that man has no idea how to comprehend. The Lord chastises, He teaches, He instructs, He LOVES.
We are all given what the son of Luke 15 was given...Luk 15:12  and the younger of them said to the father, Father, give me the portion of the substance falling to me , and he divided to them the living.
There is absolutely no anger whatsoever. We ask for it, it's given, now what do we do with it? The Father is 100% in the knowledge of the outcome.

Wonderful post Anna. Watchman Nee in his book "Release of the Spirit", does a beautiful job of explaining how God brings alignment between the inner man and the outer man(truth in the inner man/expressing from the heart the life of Christ we hav received as a seed in out spirit).

He says, "From the time a person becomes a believer God has on primary purpose, and that is the breaking down of the outer mans o that the inner man can be released".

He goes into wonderful detail thru the scriptures in demonstrating how our trials and tribulations are effected by the Father to shape us into the design He has called us into, which of course is, the life of Christ.

Babylon, means "confusion by mixture" and is a place of captivity for the believer, as it was for Israel, where the marred vessel was broken on the potters wheel so that a holy remnant could return t builb up the temple.

Jerusalem means "double peace", peace within and without- the walls are strong and the gates lead into the presence of God.

In Psalm 51, the beautiful Psalm of repentence from David, he descibes many of the ways kolassis works to return us to the pursuit of the life of YHWH, the I AM, before whom true being is the reflection of HImself and the manifestation of His life within, who is merciful has no shadow of turning, the same from age to age.

David says in it;
You desire truth in the inward parts,
Cleanse me wit hyssop and I will be clean
Wash me and I will be whiter than snow

The bitter herb hyssop is representative of the remorse we feel when we hav broken under His reproof and discipline and hav realized that HIS LOVE IS WORTH MORE THAN ALL OUR DESIRES

"Cast me not away from Your presence O Lord and take not Your Holy SPirit from me"- a good description of outer darkness if I've ever heard one

At the end of Psalm 51 David says

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart O God, you will not reject.
Do good in your pleasure(good will) unto Zion
Build up, Build Up the Walls of Jerusalem.

The end of all the languishing and the weight of God's hand and the piercing of the prophetic word David experienced because of this grievous trasgression was RESTORATION.

If God tears down your walls, it is only to root out something fortified within them that is of death and chaos and self- and then replace it all with love and light and fire- truth in the inner man I AMness- the reason Jesus' eyes are as flames of fire and a two-edged sword comes out of His mouth- He is the WORD OF GOD, FAITHFUL AND TRUE, the RADIANCE OF THE FATHER"S GLORY AND EXPRESS ICON OF HIS NATURE.

So, we know the story leading up to this beautiful revelation of David's repentence, how he arranged the death of a friend in order to steal his wife....

"When I hid my face from my sin my soul  languished all day long because of my groaning"

The hand of the Lord was heavy upon him, draining his will and resistance, whispering his transgression against the love of YHWH, into his inward parts until he repented and then he was able to offer righteous sacrifices again and the joy of His salvation was restored to Him and a song of praise to His lips.

IMO,This is how it will be, when the adversaries find themselves in the lake of fire, the hand of the Lord heavy upon them until they break, and are flooded with light, and the fire of God consumes every dark thing  as they bow their kness and confess with joyous tongues that Jesus Christ is Lord.

"And every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea and all that are in them I heard saying, Blessing honor and glory to Him who sits upon the throne and the Lamb forever." Rev 5:13

"That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow , whether on earth or in heaven or under the earth. and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father".Phil 2:10-11
