I'm sorry to bore you with these details, but this word study refreshed me when I really needed it, got up on the wrong side of the bed, found myself thinking 'I hate that dog!' and then doubting my salvation.
Got my grand daughter on the school bus, then Praise the Lord I had an hour before the little boy I watch was coming over, so I prayed for help. I can be kind of negligent when it comes to prayer. A little later, while reviewing the study of some cross references (will be a topic? 'the day of atonement as prophecy, part 2?) I ended up in a Strong's word study which really blessed and strengthened me:
(a word path..?)
Isaiah 60:3-5 (NKJV)
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 "Lift up your eyes all around, and see:
They all gather together, they come to you;
Your sons shall come from afar,
And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
5 Then you shall see and become radiant,
And your heart shall swell with joy;
Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
The wealth" (KJ = "force") "of the Gentiles shall come to you." (also, yes?)
This word in verse 5, "force / wealth" is
Strong's #2428 -
"chayil, khah-yil; from 2842 prob. a force, wealth, valor, strength"
Strong's #2842 -
"chasash, khaw-shash; dry grass: - chaff, by var. for 7179"
Strong's #7179 -
"qash, kash; from 7197; straw (as dry): - stubble"
Strong's 3# 7197 -
"qash, kaw-shash; a prim. root; to become sapless through drought; used only as
denom. from 7179; to forage for straw, stubble or wood;
fig. to assemble: - gather (selves) (together)"
:hiya: have a good day!
You're not a "moron," sister. You're just human. God bless you.
Thank you, Tom! : ) God bless you too!
