Picture it this way. If your body had no bones, you would be a blob on the floor. Bones add stiffness to your body, allowing you to be upright. This is true for every creature that has bones.

Perhaps this is why the righteous are likened to trees. :)

Goes along with what He gave me concerning the scriptures being as the bones, to which celestial flesh is added (being bound along side?) to.
His body "hangs" upon the bones that have had all the flesh circumcised off of them. Blessings...

Thanks so much, Ronen, for a quick and very helpful post. I have been given several articles that discuss in great detail the skeletal system... etc. etc. etc.... I won't be able to complete my article "Bones: one flesh/one spirit" before July 1... but I've learned that my being off the Internet will not be as long as I had earlier anticipated... so perhaps even yet in July I will be back to post the article on bones. Gen 2:23 and Eph 5:30 are the two Scriptures that form the basis for my article. Joseph's bones as well as Ezekiel's vision of dry bones also have become part of my study... and this study fits well into my ongoing study: Physical realities reveal/teach Spiritual truths. I have a Hebrew Greek Key word study Bible and used this or some years and though I am some dull with understanding them
