I am in Ottawa, formerly Edmonton. I know of a few others from Canada.

I'm in Nova Scotia, born and raised here! I've stayed in Ottawa, Thunder Bay and Edmonton, all lovely places. :) I lived just outside of Grande Prairie AB for 8 months and I really, really loved it. Quite cold for much of the year though lol! I also lived in Moncton, New Brunswick for five years, also a lovely place! Prince Edward Island is one of my favorite vacation spots.... just breathtaking. We live in a gorgeous country!

One of my hobbies is using Google Maps Street View to visit places I might otherwise never see. It saves travel hassles too. One of my more recent "trips" was to the Fort Vermillion, Alberta area, and I expected it to be bleak, but it looked very nice. I'm just amazed that agriculture is possible so far North. :declare:

Nope, I first got interested in the place because a map I saw indicated it was a grain-growing area. Barley, I assume.

I was born and raised in Alberta. Lived there most of my life. Now live in Ottawa Ontario.
One of the finest places to live on this planet is Alberta. Strong economy (even with low oil prices). Rich in natural resources. Low cost of living. No provincial deficit or debt. Agriculture is also a major industry. Wonderful in the summer but cold in the winter. And the Rocky mountains are spectacular. So much for a history lesson.
I guess New Zealand would be a fine place to live too. :bigGrin:

I know it doesn't count but I'm from Alaska. I've travelled through Canada quite a few times to visit the lower 48.
Joe I agree with everything you said about AB EXCEPT for the low cost of living! Housing is insane there compared to the Maritimes. At least where we were at (Grande Prairie area).
It's great to have so many canucks hangin around the tent. :) I love hearing from my family all over the country and all over the planet. :)
You are right lomarah. My wife and I visited the Maritimes in the fall of 2013 and found it very scenic and the people especially friendly.

Then you've done more than me. For I've only seen over into Canada,from northern Washington state and that many, many years ago now! (ha) :-) Was just there on a trip,with one of my older brothers.
Down here in NE Texas and just thinking of the trips that an older sister and I have took,just over to the Dallas, Texas area. I've been shocked,2 or 3 times,as we drove down the interstate and I saw a car from Alaska! :-)

Just had to post and tell you,what I saw Christmas Eve,way down here in my little rural,small town NE Texas area. I'd gone to our local small town and Walmart there,to get a few things. Was shocked to see a car in their lot,from Ontario! :-) My, that is a rare sighting down this far! (ha) :-)
