I am a Christian.  I have preached eternal conscious torment from the pulpit of at least a dozen churches as a supply preacher in SBC.  I have asked God's forgiveness for my error.  I'm not all that smart.

Really not much else to say about myself.

I appreciate this website.  I was once a "vocal" participant on the CARM discussion forum.  I've met Matt Slick.  He's nice enough, but he is way off base as it pertains to Universal Reconciliation.

Good to meet you Jim.  Interesting things you've shared. I like and appreciate a lot of things about the Southern Baptist Church.  ET isn't one of them.

I was raised a Southern Baptist myself.  jabcat, the "C" in "SBC" stands for "Convention."
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

You're right.  I was a member for about 25 years and still attend on Sunday mornings with my family ;)

Whatever you were, or still are, you are welcome here.

We all come searching for answers to all sorts of questions.....I think this is as accepting and welcoming group as one could expect to find, anywhere.

I am a former RC, raised to believe that hell is where the people you don't like should go. I am a Lutheran, at this point, starting to feel it is time to say what I believe, concerning UR, and become a pilgrim, searching for a new land.....hopefully contribute something very positive, even if in a small way, to the cause. Waiting on God to show me how, when, and where.
