I've been a believer most of my concious life, but have only recently started discovering the truths that are hidden by the translators/translation of most bibles, so I'm very excited about all these discovering.

Wow! While I can understand Dutch, I grew up speaking Afrikaans, after emigrating to South Africa with my parents at the age of 5. So the German blood is in my veins, although I am a South African.
The english here have a term "dutchman" for an afrikaans person they deem stupid... But since the afrikaaners have started taking over London, they don't use the term that often anymore! :laughing7:
Anyway, I'm glad I found this forum and happy to be here!
Afrikaans sounds like a mix of English and old (16-17th century) Dutch.
Not surprising of course
Welcome Lifeboy. I couldn't help wondering what your wife and kids think about your new discoveries. I have problems in that area in that they don't like it. It is pretty painful for me.
Give it time and patience and be at peace ,it will happen and don't feel hurt by their lack of understanding-blessings
A lot of our doctors in town are from south Africa.I can understand a little if they don't speak to quick-blessings
:cloud9: Welcome to the Tent.....
