Welcome, 18 year old liberal. I hope you mean liberal in the good sense. The RC taught me alot of good things, but they never taught me to read the Bible, so be sure to do that. You can start with Matthew, but be sure to read James to get a good dose of the basic things of Christianity. Don't just rely on what you read here or anywhere else. Study the awesome Word of God.
