Hi Happy Tentmakers

My name is Brodie. I have been a Christian for 30 plus years.  I am a New Testament kind of guy that believes that being strengthened and directed by the indwelling Holy Spirit, combined with a bit of yielding and surrender, is the way to grow to be like Christ.

I believe that Jesus never offered a new religion, but a new wonderful relationship lived in the Spirit.

I have recently had a big clean-out of my God Box and found a lot of stuff that other people has put in there over years, that simple did not belong there.

I seems that since the Christian world got the printed word, the religion called Christianity has split into about 3,200 "Bible Based" churches. The "Church" has been responsible for unbelievable horrors to both believers and others, which must of been a source of distress to a loving and reconciling Trinity.

I really like the Universal belief of Inclusion, but have a need to discuss the implication with other like minded believers.  e.g.  Second Coming, Rapture, Tribulation, Millennium Period, and the correct response to the Bible.

Hope that my initial contact stimulates some discussion and that once I have posted this entry, I will be able to respond directly with other members and add comments to further constructive interaction.

Hello and welcome.  I enjoyed reading your introduction.  I agree with you about the divisions and sects all over the world. 
But I think it probably was bound to be that way and that God is working out everything according to the council of his own will even if it looks messy.  :happy3:
