A Welsh choir . . .now "there's" one for the imagination!!!  There are so many places I could go with this . .. but I shall choose to be a good boy and leave well enough alone.

Well I am off to the funeral of a very good friend of mine next Friday (as it happens in Camberly - England for non Brits).  My friend was a proud Welshman (as am I) and yesterday I had an email from his sons to say that we were to all brush up on our Welsh hymns and bring our singing voices to blow the roof off Camberly rugby club.  Now while I am still devastated at my friend's sudden death It will be a celebration of his life and an experience that is seen too rarely even in Wales these days..

So I expect to at least sing the following (through a haze of beer - and before anyone moralises remember the wedding at Cana and how BIG those stone jars of wine were :icon_jokercolor:):

1. Mae hen gwlad fy nhadau (the land of my fathers - Welsh national anthem).
2. I bob un sy'n fyddlon dan ei faner ef (to all the faithfull under His banner).
3. Calon lan yn llawn daioni tegach yw na'r lili dlos (A pure heart is full of tenderness, fairer than the pretty lilies).
4. Guide me oh Thou Great Jehovah (originally written in Welsh).
5. Delilah (Tom Jones).
6. Hymns and Arias (Max Boyce).

It's already brought tears to my eyes writing it down here like this.

yup Card, The Lyrics leave a lot to be desired .

Its Just a well known Welsh Pop record which is sung on kareoke(sp) in most clubs, Pubs etc in Wales due to Certain Weshman, Tom Jones.
