Hi all brothers and sisters,

How are you guys doing? I'm Albert and a college senior residing in Taiwan and will take a graduate program in the States in two years. This first intro message was postponed due in part to arduous school work, and I feel indebted to our loving God and all contributors and fellows at Tentmaker. God enlightened me thru you, and will do to even more!

I've been in quest for the truth for long, and during the period a couple of years ago when I stayed in IL I even went to CIY and attended several church sermons to try to understand more. Later I searched thoroughly in the Net in hopes of finding a denomination that carries satisfying doctrine and theology, but none convinced me...until I found tentmaker and read a raft of articles written by earnest scholars and believers that shed light on the true message from our Lord!

I almost turned my back on God because of the currently mainstream theology but He wonderfully brought me back by the sound proof and reasoning of universal reconciliation presented at this web. And many free-of-charge material available online is a pleasant surprise to people like me who are not in the US. I told this amazing finding to my family who were Buddhists and you know what? They began to accept Christ after I discussed the real meaning of tithe, the misconception from Latin Bible and the fate of our non-Christian deceased relatives. Thank God!

Apparently for the people outside Christian circle, the biggest barrier for them to bow down to Jesus is the present mainstream church's views on the Bible and God. Lots of people choose not to believe due greatly to the cruelty of misunderstood God's word, according to my observation, especially in non-Christian soils, like Taiwan, Japan, or China. How could you turn to a god that annihilates any of good people who just don't have enough opportunities to see the light?

Yet philosophically speaking, God is so powerful that churchgoers still receive unconditional Love and have faith in Christ in spite of all the sour misunderstandings preached by churches universally. They will meet unexpected ones in Heaven anyway.

I think Taiwan and China or alike Chinese-speaking regions sheer lack material on Christian Universalism and it's too bad. And there's one plain fact that is more discouraging: Those who clamorously considered us UR believers heretics believe firmly in the same God but they are too devoted to church dogmatism and ignorant of all the historical facts and findings. Christianity would have disseminated thru more boarders and homes, if it were properly interpreted.

Thank you again for all who helped me find the way. I can see the light shine on us and strengthen us! May God reveal this magnificent truth to all willing to seek it.

Sincerely,
Albert.

Welcome, Albert.  What a wonderful post.  I rejoice in the report of your family, what a blessing.  Jesus truly is the Savior of the world, and your little piece of the world is already being drawn to Him!  Praise Him!

As for the mistranslations, the UR message and us as believers being rejected, it's all in God's plan brother, and He'll take care of it.  He veils and reveals as He sees fit.  Rejoice in humility that He called and chose you...it's for a purpose.  His hand is on your life in a special way.  He loves and will save all, but He is the Savior especially [set apart for a special purpose] of those that believe.

God's blessing, James.

Dear James,

Thanks for your prompt reply. That 1Tim 4:10 passage is very powerful. Your word further encourages me to firmly spread Christ's victorious Gospel to more around me, especially to those who are not Christian.

God bless! Praise Jesus!
