Hi,

Long time reader, first time poster. Here are the quick facts:

Raised Catholic (my parents didn't place a strong emphasis on hell, but they were very conservative and I read several books about Roman Catholic teaching on hell)

Married for 9 years with 4 wonderful kids. When my children arrived on the scene I began to seriously question the doctrine of hell and other aspects of my religion.

I've followed tentmaker.org for about 2 years now and have watch several of the tentmaker777 videos on youtube. I will say that this site has drastically altered how I view salvation, God's love and my attitude towards other people.

I'm still currently a practicing Catholic along with my wife. She believes in the doctrine of hell and is afraid of going there.

I'm finally posting because I want to get more involved in this community, challenge myself and my current beliefs and see what others have to offer. God bless.

The longer the time grows that I've walked with understanding "the end of the Lord is mercy," the more I am surprised how increasingly vast a difference it makes in my knowledge of God and love toward other people.  Jesus bringing us along the way to even love our enemies is no longer deeply hindered.  Not only does He not punish His enemies forever, He actually forgives, purifies and loves them forever.  But, I don't mean to make this a mere argument for the mind.  The reality is, "God is love."  This means an emotional ardor, a passion of love that "Fulfills the desire of every living thing."  This is the Spirit that indwells whoever He calls.  When the truth that He is, "The Savior of all" enlightens the mind, warm affection for God and others, even all creation, becomes unimpeded.

Thanks for the welcome! Excited to be a part of the community instead of reading through forum posts and articles and just... thinking about saying something. Whitewings, I'll be sure to check out that thread. Thanks!
