Hello All, glad to be here.
Actually, I'm not sure of all the steps that have been taken to arrive at Tentmakers.
While waiting for activation, I have done a bit of browing on the forum and reading many articles at the home page.
Facinating.
I dispensed with the eternal hell/suffering years ago - if anyone is interested, I could link to a site that does a brilliant job dispelling that horrid myth. The man died back in May, was a good friend who will be missed, and we had many heated e-mail debates/discussions, all - ALL in brotherly love, though I did get booted from his forum for violating the unwritten rule : "Thou shalt not contradict the teachings of ________ for any reason." Btw, he did not post much or admin the forum on his site - so even booted, we conducted intensive e-mail discussions with me usually starting out: "How can a guy who nailed the terrible hell thing be so far off on..." and the reply would start: "How can a guy who get's the hell thing not grasp..." It was fun, learning, and he will be missed by me.

What does describe me is wrestling with "What Bible translation is best..." Was a big hang up - "Sola Scriptura" I'd holler - "KJV Only" I'd beller in my obvious ignorance. After landing here, I'm seriously seeing the Light - Thank you.
The Bible verses that best describe me are Proverbs 2: 1-5 - A beautiful contract between God and His called ones.

I'll be 58 in July, the hour is late, time to get this all nailed down and really enjoy the gift's of the Spirit.

Welcome, friend. You will find here, like with your friend, that sometimes iron sharpens iron, but we are all in the process of learning/seeing more clearly. Tentmaker (and other sources) has helped me grow exponentially.

Welcome!  "Corum" is a name I've not heard in a while.  My grandfather had some Corums as neighbors back in Clay county, Missouri, but I don't recall ever meeting them.  Anyway, I'd like to see a link, as you mentioned.  :friendstu:
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Welcome here.
Thank you for what you and your family do for our decision process.
How often have I heard the board or the senate or the congress can't make a decision withoput a Corum. :laughing7:
I'may not be the funniest guy in the forum but my wife thinks I'm the funniest guy in our house of two people. :Peace2:

Welcome. Your story sounded a bit familiar to me. Along the way in my journey to find the truth I took a detour into the "Church of God" H.W.A. It was an interesting time for me. I discovered many things and have no regrets for going down that road. We all get here somehow. When I had finally came to my senses and realized that I still was not on the correct path I researched others who had walked in my shoes. I began exchanging email with an individual who began sharing the message of UR with me. At first I was strongly against the things he presented to me. One day I felt moved/motivated to dig into what he was sharing with me. In a short time my eyes were opened and I have never went back. Now when I read and study all I can see is more truth supporting the view of UR. I can't get enough and I can't imagine ever going back to the beliefs of ET.

Ahh... the L. Ray Smith site. Many of us here have been there and read his stuff regularly so we can relate. :Peace2:

Dave Corum

You bet ded2daworld, Ray did a nice job on the hellish hell doctrine...I knew him well and we tangled on a number of other issues on/off his site, yet, it was in love and great respect.
Was I taken back when I see Ray was quoted by Ken Eckerty in an article on Tentmakers:
