I wanted to share a bit more of an introduction to myself I guess. I am Mike I am 32 years old and I am living in beautiful Southern Arizona with my amazing Wife. I have spent the better part of the last ten years as an agnostic. Before that I was a believer and I loved God with all my being and worked to further his kingdom every day I drew breath. I can't fully explain why my faith was so shaken that I left the fold completely. But I do know it began when studying theology and apologetics and began seeing issues with the doctrine of eternal torment. I was on my way to becoming a Christian Universalist but then other things happened that made me lose my faith entirely. Paramou8nt of those things being the brutal death of my brother Mark in a car accident. Mark was a believer and he was my best friend as well as blood brother and I could not understand why a God that loved him so much would allow that to happen. It just became easier to not believe than to believe and also realize that it was all part of some plan. SO I walked away from it all. I walked away with no intention of ever looking back.
But God is good
A couple months ago I began a dialogue with my wife who is a liberal Christian about God and then q few weeks ago I began attending a church. No they don't preach UR but I have come to a realization that as long as the heart of God is in all things we can differ on opinion and still worship and fellowship with each other. I am now begining again my walk with grace. I still have lots of questions and yes even some doubt but I know there is a God and I know also that his love for us, his creation is boundless. There is no limit to the all encompassing love of God shown to the world through Christ's life and death. I am learning and absorbing information everyday and am very excited about things like the missional christian movement which, if you guys haven't seen you should read about it. it's exciting
I look forward to reading your thoughts and sharing mine when I can. Life is good
Good testimony Mike. Indeed, we are saved by grace through faith, and THAT not of ourselves. Jesus bore our sins to death, and resurrected for our life. God bless. James.

...as God parts to each the measure of faith.

"Faith is not believing God can, it's knowing that He Will."
