I just had a little revelation last night, im sure most people here will know this, but it hit me pretty hard last night.

Jesus was talking to a rich man once and the rich man asked him how he could get to heaven.
Jesus said "Sell all your possessions and give them to the poor".

The rich man looked a bit lost.

Jesus said "Its very hard for rich people to enter the Kingdom of God."

"Who then can be saved?" Asked a disciple.
"What is impossible with man IS possible with God", was Jesus' reply.

I wondered for years what the Kingdom of God was...For years I thought it was some big lush palace way up in the clouds, but later on Jesus said -

"The Kingdom of God does not come in a way forseen by men, people won't say
"Oh there it is", or
"Oh look up there, theres the Kingdom!"
Jesus said, "The Kingdom of God is 'within' you.

Jesus said things like the worries of this life etc can cause his word to not grow properly, he also said that the Rich man could get nearer the Kingdom if he sold all his possessions to the poor, for...'It is in giving that we recieve'.

The rich man had a lot of money...He had lots to do, lots of things he could buy with his money, lots of things to keep his mind from the Kingdom of God.  His mind was more likely to be on earthy things...Possessions, wealth etc.  Jesus knew that this mans 'greed' was something that was holding him back from the Kingdom.

If he had given away his possessions lovingly to look after others less fortunate, yes, he would have felt better about himself and made God happy...He would have discovered what life was really all about, imagine the difference that man could have made to poorer peoples lives!  He could have bought the poor medicine and improved their quality of life...The rich man probably had so much money he thought he had already succeeded in life and done the best that any man could do, but he was wrong, he was only looking out for himself.

"It is easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle", said Jesus.

The Kingdom is within us, and we have to cast off all our worries and give to others and do good to others to find that Kingdom, because the best things in life truly are free and loving others or helping others is worth more than all the money in the world because the wealth will pass away, but the treasures of the Kingdom will last forever.

As i said, most of you will already know this, but it was quite a revelation to me, because before i used to read that and think that hardly any rich people would be in that great big palace in the sky when they died...But the Kingdom is within...We dont have to wait till were dead till we get to it, we can find it here on Earth and in turn help others to find true meaning and purpose in their lives...The Kingdom - What life is really all about.
I just wanted to share this.

:cloud9: Now you know the kingdom of God is within you.........looks like a quick work to me.................and this revelation from His Spirit puts you at the head of the "class" of about 90% of Christianity who are still looking upward at the natural clouds, waiting to go to "His Kingdom". SO happy for you!  :girlheart: Blessings....

Hey there friend!

That's not a "small" revelation.
That's A BIG revelation!!

:happy3:  :happy3:  :happy3:

:HeartThrob:

The sun is shining on your path today, no shadows at all.  :dsunny:

One of the dictionary defnitions of kingdom:
b : the realm in which God's will is fulfilled
4 a : a realm or region in which something is dominant

Thanks for sharing your revelation with us.
A lot of folks get stuck on that verse. (esp. the folks who damn everyone to hell) it's wonderful that you see the true meaning.
Again, that is a BIG revelation.

It really is awesum, i just need to be refined a bit...its very painful, but im sure it will be worth it.  Im sure it says somewhere that God chastines and disciplines those he loves...Well he must love me then, ive never known such depression for a long long time.

it does say that !! Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

zēloō=zealous
G2206 - zēloō  1) to burn with zeal

a) to be heated or to boil with envy, hatred, anger

1) in a good sense, to be zealous in the pursuit of goodb) to desire earnestly, pursue

1) to desire one earnestly, to strive after, busy one's self about him

2) to exert one's self for one (that he may not be torn from me)
3) to be the object of the zeal of others, to be zealously sought after
c) to envy   :mshock:

:cloud9: Amen......I know it's hard when you're in the midst of it, but if you will offer up a sacrifice of praise, it will lift, because God inhabits the praises of His people and no darkness can stay in His presence. Blessings.... :girlheart:

I just wanted to add that I agree with rosered, I really liked how you put that into words.
Well thought out and you explained it in a way that the reader GETS the message.
I appreciate that.

I know how you feel.
Keep your revelations in a file on your computer.
And revisit them.
Things that have made you feel good/closer to God.
Even things that people have said to you.
And good things you've run across online that have strengthened you.
Keep them all in one place.
And revisit when you need to.
That's helped me tremendously.
To go back and see things unfolding...
To remember the good things.
Keep a record of them.
It really does help.
