How do you hear the Lords voice?

From my experience Beloved Servant, God does not always speak in words. He can , and he has spoken to me personally through the Bible. He has "spoken" to me by ansewering prayers. He has shown me miracles in my life. And I have "seen " Jesus. There are many ways that the Lord can speak to you, he can also speak into you.

Now my soul is always searching for
That VOICE that I long to hear some more
That "quickening" VOICE that brings me LIFE

Lots of different ways.
I know it's His voice if it brings me peace beyond all understanding and it draws me closer to Him, not further apart.

One example of hearing his voice is something that just happened in the thread I posted last night.
"Do you guys ever um..."

I heard His voice through reading Molly's words.

I read her words and this "knowing" came over me and stopped me.
God put an end to my sudden fear just like that and He drew me in closer.

For me it's a "sense", a nudge, an inner direction, a knowing.  Sometimes an "ah-ha" when I'm reading the scriptures....I do have to be careful that I'm not "hearing" and reacting to my own thoughts and "imaginations"...and the scriptures are a plumb line.

Exactly. That "ah-ha" feeling usally is useles or even dangerous I think.
A scientist studying war chemicals might have a "ah-ha" too. If that's a revelation of any sort I guess satan is the one that gave it. Or more likely the scientists brain.

I think the best proof against "ah-ha" is the great number of views and denominations.
So:
a] There are very few real "ah-ha"
b] HS makes lots of mistakes.
c] Lots of "ah-ha" should be credited to satan.
d] "ah-ha" is always just human intelligence.

Little note about real "ah-ha"
I think they often do more harm than good because a small localized "ah-ha" gets extrapolated to the whole Bible.
