Seth

Was sorry to hear about your lil' buddy. It's painful to lose anyone. Sometimes I look at my new baby sleeping in her crib. I get to feeling so much love that I almost get scared. What if I lost her right now, to anything. To this point I haven't lost anyone very close to me. But when I go to that scary moment, I get a clue as to what you are talking about. In that moment I sort of get it about the real grief one must feel to lose someone as close to you as that.

Yes it points to this and that...ok, I get it, yeah. Death is not the end, sure. But what is in the feeling is not always what is in the intellect, you know? It just hurts. And again, I only know from my experience with this new, strange, and scary PARENT love that I have been experiencing. But I get what you are saying. It just hurts. But I am glad you have been consoled by the Gospel. It really is meant to relieve the fear and pain of death, knowing that Jesus defeated and destroyed it.

Thank you, Seth :HeartThrob:

That "scared" feeling, yeah... that is something that, instead of being a fleeting feeling, I latched onto it after watching my mom die. I was just so young when she died and she was my world. After she died, the shadow of death seemed to hang over all of my loved ones. The more I loved...the more it loomed menacingly, threatening to destroy my world all over again. I saw everyone I loved with one foot in the grave. But, if I hadn't gone through all of that, I wouldn't be who I am today. Jesus, most certainly has conquered death. His peace surpasses all understanding, for sure.

The relationships we forge in time are special. I look forward to the reunion. Death is just a momentary interruption. Separation is necessary. Love doesn't die. Love actually grows and becomes something even more. Separation, I have learned, is actually a blessing in disguise. Hard to wrap your mind around, but God is good... everything is going to be all right. Amazing that I can say that now, after all of these years of chasing death's looming shadow away from those that I love. God is good. So much better than we can ever imagine.
