 On August 25th 2001, my younger brother Billy passed away on his birthday. He drowned in a childs pool, infront of me and my other brother, at age 30. Billy was a prankster, he loved to joke around. Both my other brother and I saw him floating and thought he was joking. We were all quite drunk and not in our right minds. When the "joke" took to long, a few mintutes, we pulled him out and called 911. He had a pulse, but was not breathing. We tried to give him cpr, but had no clue how to do it properly. He left us.
     We were riased in Christian Eternal torment churches. We belived Christ was our Savior, all you had to do was believe and accept to escape eternal torment. That was my belief at the time and I really did believe it, that we were saved...yet we were drowning in sin. We did not want to be depressed, drunks with lives filled with failure, but we were.
    Billy was the one born right after me in our family. He was to years younger than I. He was my my closest friend, the one I related to more than any other, my teacher and my comforter. Before he passed, I did think of suicide several times and I didn't think much of how it would affect others. I was self absorbed and so, I was selfish. After Billy passed, my heart was crushed, it was nothing, but dust. I was angery at God for allowing me to exist, for I knew then, I could not commit suicide and chance being the cuase of the kind of pain I now know.
   Slowly God began making a new heart in me. He began gluing it back together speck by speck. The glue, that He uses to mend hearts is His love. I began caring about the pain of others, more and more as the years went by. I wanted to heal them and take thier pain away. I wanted them to turn to God and be comforted. I did not want for anyone to be lost, forever. I knew that I would do anything and everything possiable to restore them to health and happiness, my heart was braking agian, now for others. God then showed me, I was trying to do His job.  He is the One who heals and saves. He loves even far more deeply than He has tuaght me to love. I can not save, heal or comfort anyone on my own. I am only to do as He asks me to and He will save, heal restore, every last one from the least to the greatest of these.
   It has been about a year and a half now, since I have believed in Universal Reconciliation and I have been blessed with far more comfort, joy, love and peace from God than I have ever known before...except perhaps as a little child. I even started a small ministry of my own. I share my art, peoms, Bible quotes extra on this public site, Zazzle where they let me do that. They are products for sale, but they produce them and ship them so, they recieve most of the profit. If you like you can take a look at this link. http://www.zazzle.com/MayTruthSetUsFree*
I thank God for your ministery and for all the help you guys have giving me in understanding Scripture more clearly, after the Spirit opened my eyes. I thank you also for allowing me to share my story and for all the fellowship.
May God bless you always and aid us all in sharing His love with others in peace.
Love in Christ Jesus,
Cathy

Thank you, Caffus, for sharing your story with us!

I am so sorry you had to endure all that sadness, but as you atest to, God will take it and use it all for good.
That has been my experience, as well.

So glad you are in the place you are now. Go out there and be the light on the hill, for all to see! Shine brightly, for Him who has redeemed us!

..amen, Dandelion.. :girlheart:

Thank you, Cathy, for sharing your story.. :cloud9: ...both the pain (basically, you were destroyed..) and how He put your heart back together. [Without Jesus, I too, am a basket of pieces.. basket case.] I loved how you wrote it and it blessed my heart! More and more, all the time, I am realizing how very much we can rest in Him.. He is in control.. for all.. and His happily ever after can onLy far exceed anyone else's. Anything a human heart could possibly come up with, He is doing, and will do infinitely (far) better.. (surely? :gsmile: )

      Love to all ,, :HeartThrob:

  God bless you Cathy
  I do believe we sure all can relate  , it seems our earthly lives   are full of sorrows  , but the Heavenly Father gives us new Life in the Holy Spirit  and many of us are born   ,a   new creatures in Christ ,  out of many sorrows .

A servant is not above His Master ,  as  we also come to the knowledge of Christ in you  the hope of Glory  , the Spirit of Christ light   working within  with Our Heavenly Fathers  Holy Spirit of truth   that we might also become ONE  with  Them ..

Col1 26 the mystery that was hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed to His saints,

27to whom God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ....

Isaiah 53   The Suffering Servant
...2For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground;

He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.

3He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;

And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

4Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.

  I love the prayer  IN JOHN 17 , powerful  in WORD AND DEED  and just  adding the ending for emphasis...  but eternal Life is knowing the LOVE OF GOD   though the Lord Jesus Christ,,,,

22 The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;

23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

25 "O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; 26 and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."

I also lost my little brother  to drowning   at 20 ,     They are all  in the Lords hands now , as are we !! GOD bless you with more and more Light and Love  in the Father and the Son     :dsunny:  :HeartThrob:  as both intensify   within   are shine forth outwardly    so others can see     GODS glory  also .

Jesus is the reward  !!
