The atheist boards I visited ridicule all religions. Not so strange because they are atheists.

Most religious websites attack everything that's not to teh very last letter their own believe.
But my guess is that you mean discussion boards like CARM.
That's indeed a very weird board. Allowing every (false) religion

NOTE: There are a lot of cult groups and false teachers that represent themselves here: Universalists, JW's, Mormons, Oneness Groups, as well as atheists, deists, new agers, evolutionists, etc. So, be aware of what you read and be cautious.  Also, be aware that people may respond to you in a manner that you may not consider polite. Sometimes defending the Christian faith can be a little messy.   So, keep that in mind when you get involved.

Islam also teaches hell. So that makes it a Christian belief?
Doesn't atheism lead Christians away from their belief? Atheist don't believe in hell either.

But that still doesn't change reality.
If there is a litteral hell 10 billion UR believers won't make it go away.

I began to believe universalism is the truth around this time last year.  I've found that any doubts I have occur when I listen to others.  When I read my Bible I have less and less doubt.  It's like having a different pair of glasses on and seeing His Word differently than I used to.

Absolutely. When you are programmed to think a certain way you begin to see God's word that way, even if it does'nt make sense. "God is just" is a poor answer for beliving in ET ( as well as free will and all that other garbage they pump your head with). God is just? Exactly; that's why all will be reconciled to him.

I can of surety relate to anyone being hated trying to propagate UR. Most Christians from mainstream church around me are nice people, but a few fanatics who claim themselves literalists are the ones that often have strongest biased view towards UR- they don't even want to at least listen to what we have to offer.

Some time ago a Christian buddy in her personal blog tried to open up a discussion on "Arminianism vs. Calvinism." She welcomed different voices (That was the putative purpose of the board), but as I posted an introductory post to UR the blogger ruthlessly called my post "balderdash", deleting it (at least she admonished me before doing so) and urged other pals not to spend time conversing with me. It seemed like UR is a kind of taboo or poison. How sad that was.

I don't blame them, however, for they are simply ignorant of the history of the early churches. Nor did I know the historical facts regarding the very core teachings of the Bible's original Greek text before visiting Tentmaker and doing some study. I just hope more would be willing to let God reveal this majestic message to them.

Don't a lot of Religions use these 2 verses to think they are the 'CHOSEN ONES"?

If one stays openminded....and allow God to tEACH us....and not man.....we can all come into the knowledge of God.
