I read a quote on another board that had a humongous impact on me and had to share it ...... may have read it before ..... but today it was given life in me .....

Amen Jugghead! It always mystifies me when ministries beg for what is "needed to complete the Lord's work", as if our Father were short of a dollar or two in order to carry out His wishes...

Amen! And if we "abide in His Word" - and "the Word became flesh" .."we shall have what it is we ask of Him" ..because what we ask will be grounded in Him?

We have no say in our physical conception or birth, yet try to claim the right to spiritual birth.

Paul hammers home the difference in 1 Cor 15. He highlights the need for the physical before the spiritual.
1 Cor 15;46 " However, the spiritual did not come first, but the natural, THEN the spiritual."
vs 49 " And just as we have born the image of the earthly man, so also shall we bear the likeness of the man of heaven."

All saying the power of God is what we are reliant on for life.

2 Tim 1;7 " For God has NOT given us a spirit of fear, BUT OF POWER, AND OF LOVE, AND OF SELF-CONTROL."

Titus 3;4-7 " But when the graciousness and affection of Our Saviour God shone forth for man, He saved us NOT by works which we had done in righteousness, BUT ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY through means of a new birth and the moulding anew of the Holy Spirit,

1 Cor 2;5 " So that your faith might not rest on the wisdom of man, but on the power of God."
