Telling 'christians' about the truth!!!

Hi ya everyone,

I had a discussion with some evangelical christians the other day in the street! I got the usual arguments against UR; we have free will to choose Christ and if we don't we are going to hell, God doesn't save everyone, God didn't create evil, etc. At one point this guy told me that satan had blinded me, i responded that satan had blinded him.  I didn't speak very well as i tend to get heated in these sort of discussions. They also argued about gehenna not being in Jerusalem but is hell! 
It was very frustrating when i declared that as in Adam all are dying, so thus in Christ shall all be vivified, and being told that the same all in Adam, isn't the same all in Christ, but by changing the words round, makes it - all IN Christ (all who are christians) will be vivified.  When i suggested that Adam was greater than Christ then, these people couldn't see where i was coming from! Very frustrating! I was asked if i was a JW or a Jew and i kept saying that i am a believer in Christ. When questioned if Hitler will go to heaven, i said of course, i was surprised that they didn't put a strait jacket on me and cart me off somewhere.
Just want to rant to you, as i find it so peculiar that i can tell atheists, agnostics, and people of other faiths this but not 'christians'.

For some reason a lot of 'christians' love the fact that they're in a 'special' catagory, apart from everyone else. And, to be fair, the way some translations read seem to totally confirm the ET view and it's hard to change a mind once it's set...

When questioned if Hitler will go to heaven, i said of course, i was surprised that they didn't put a strait jacket on me and cart me off somewhere.

You should always turn the question back on them, if they say of course, then ask them you made them God's Advocate or Judge.  Then you can always throw in the "beam-in-the-eye" ministry bit.

You must remember, these folk mostly know what they know because they were told so.  You can always pick them out.

Hate Hitler (strange how they forget about Stalin, and in more recent time many more equally bad people like Idi Amin)
Hate JW's
Hate Jews, but pray for the peace of Jerusalem  :dontknow:

Then quote this

You do have free-will to choose Christ; but if you don't, you are not going to hell, you are just living your life for yourself and not storing up treasures in Heaven. Everyone has a choice, and everyone must give account of their words and their deeds.

Brother,  I pray more are given your courage and your heart that our children and and our children's children will know their Heavenly Father as Agape instead of as a fearsome terrorist that sends 98% of His offspring to Hell.

He tells us to love our enemies and then He sends His enemies to eternal torment? Can we not by this alone, see the absurdity of the Hell that men have built.

PS. I have a little girl that just turned 24 and this week she called and told me she decided to start applying to Med Schools. God has placed in her heart to be a healer. I wept when she told me of her plans because I know of the rigors and sacrifice of seven more years of school and residency. But God has placed in her His heart to heal His children and leave her current job where she would make close to a hundred grand next year. Most of my generation might be carrying a message of destruction but I have been given a better vision for the next. Sometimes I think of myself and others like James are but the forerunners and voices crying in the wilderness to prepare the way for those that would carry the full and pure message of Christ and His Love.

I wept often today and even got physically sick by what I am reading there. This is one blog I responded to late last night and while I read it to Joian over the phone we both wept.

My point wasn't that God doesn't reveal himself to us today, but that we can't expect to receive "instructions" as clearly and as detailed as these very special men in history did. Lord let us be grateful, to be living in this very day. This is the greatest day. Paul the apostle longed to see this day. The great men of old longed to see it. The prophets longed to see it. They looked for this day. Abraham looked for this day, for he sought for a City whose Builder and Maker was God ............ and it hangs right above us, tonight.


My prayer sister, is that tonight when you lay your head on your pillow and before you sleep that you would ask your Father to speak to you by the Spirit of His Son that dwells within you.  It is as easy as that. Today I took a nap and as I always do before falling asleep I asked my Father to just hold me close to His bosom and reveal His love to me. Not an hour ago, I shared by phone with my dear friend Joian, the marvelous time I experienced in my sleep as hour after hour He revealed Himself to me and gave me specific directions for my life.

Joian who I know is friend of yours has some marvelous experiences to share of how God has and does speak to her and direct her life. I know she has recounted some of this on our shared blog "SONSHINE."

Be blessed and I pray you find that you are no less than the patriarchs of old but even more as you share a new covenant with God that they had not even yet received.

Good post, Jack. I've come to see this more and more clearly. Just this morning the Holy Spirit spoke to me about the truth that no one knows the Father but the Son and to whom He chooses to reveal Him. Abraham, Moses, David, not even John the baptist, none of these knew God as their Abba. Maybe some of them seemed to have a glimpse of it, but only in Christ can we know our sonship and the truth that we are eternaly loved. Jesus even went so far to say that the least in the Kingdom are greater than John the baptist who was the last old covenant prophet and the greates born thus far. The statement you answerd above is truly sad. I once talked to a guy who wanted to convince me that Paul wasn't a ordinary  human being and he got very upset with me when I told him that he could get closer to the Father in this life than Paul ever was. That was just to much for him. I smiled when I read how you ask Father to love on you when you take a nap, cause that's exactley what I am doing all the time and most of our churchgoing friends think I am nuts when Clare tells them about it. But these are sureley the best times of the day.

They are the very best times Floyd and it is like I never really go to sleep any more but only dwell in a semi conscious dream state where there are much workings of God taking place in me. It is always entered into with complete surrender and often with a broken heart because this life has absolutely no allure for me at all. The only joy i really find now is sharing Him with others mostly through writing and my times of prayer which some of my friends think are but glorified naps. lol Yesterday afternoon and early this morning were two of the most amazing experience ever as the Father begins to speak to me about writing a book. Yesterday afternoon He spoke to me about writing it and this morning He showed me how with the most amazing visions ......... definitely a novel. This chapter this morning was a wedding scene ....... the strangest wedding scene ever and the groom was left at the altar so to speak. The bridal company were all imbred mountain type people that loved to entertain and show off amongst themselves in the church. I could write a chapter with what I saw in an hour.

How do you explain such,

PS. For a couple of years those prayer naps have beeen often excruciatingly painful as He worked Jack out of me Himself. I never read of anyone praying like this. Sometimes I will awaken complelely and I am praying for some one ....... sometimes for one I know but more often for others I don't.

Lastly it seem  the Father is teaching me to pray with no regard to time ......... even praying for events and people past. Seems those are always about the bestowing of mercy. I know I am not crazy but I am sure to others ...........

Jack, I can relate to that. I've very often felt like that as well, even though I've only experienced that for about a year and not all the time, but I guess it will occur more often in the future. Also have experienced the waking up and suddenly interceding for somebody, even peopel I never met or heard about, sometimes even for animals (crazy stuff, which you can't really share with churchgoing friends). Most of the time I wake up and speak in tongues or discover that I did it all the time while I thought I was sleeping. Entering the rest of the Lord gets a complete different meaning, don't you think, he he? I'm sure looking forward to that book.

I look forward to having time to take one, because it seems He gets thru better then as I am not as dead asleep them as at night when I'm usually exhausted. Yes it is all so wonderful and as we move in the Spirit I believe we serve mankind in different ways. ArticMonster, Zanman and reFORMer are wonderful apologist which I will never be. The beach boy has his hands full with that trio and if we need you Card we'll send you you in to confuse and blow him away with the ethereal and supernal point of view.  :laughing7:

Enjoying the nap discussion...

I used to be pretty naive about theideas some Christian's have.  or maybe it's a lack of ideas!   It's so sad to me that a Christian would think we're weird for talking to God and He talking to us!  I love to crawl up in my Daddy's lap and snuggle at bedtime- He strokes my hair and treats me like a princess.   :icon_queen:

And yes, some of my best revelations come in that in between state of here and sleep;  the praying, too.  Maybe I will wrestle with an annoying issue all day and then upon waking from sleep- the answer comes.  God is so good!   :HeartThrob:
