A little sharing with Gilbert!!

Gilbert, got some comments to share with you as prompted in me by your words to Doug in that other thread.  I won't post them "there" as I don't want to get in the way of yall's subject and I am
prone to "go all over the Bible" as my mama would say. ha

You said:To demonstrate the force with which the powers of death will be torn apart, Zechariah mentioned an earthquake which took place two centuries before, in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Earthquakes being rare in Palestine, it was still talked about in the days of Zechariah. However, for the Israel of God this prophecy is purely spiritual. It shows how the complete man will escape at the seventh (last) trumpet, when the perishable and mortal nature of the sons of God will put on imperishable immortality

RLV: I like the way you speak of the "force" with which God will deal with the "death" that has
come against His Own.  I think in Revelations the "wrath of God" is called an "orgy" against
the evil "death" spirit when God has said "enough" and "say calf rope" to our enemies. ha
Earthquake is pretty much describing a powerful force. Notice there were those who threw
people into the "fire" and then there was ONE .........glory, glory, who had POWER, a GREATER
POWER, and POWER "over" the fire!  Some had had POWER over our bodies, even as it is
written in the old testament "other lords beside thee have had power over our "bodies" .......now
this is something to notice, to me.........wonder what it was that they had exercised that would
show "this" up?  Well, anyway, when that ANGEL comes on the scene with GREATER AUTHORITY, He must be full of orgy wrath!!!

Oh....... In the year of Uzziah, isn't that when Isa. saw the Lord, "HIGH and LIFTED UP?"

I used to read Isa. 6 and wonder why would Isa. want to go make a people blind? til I noticed
Jesus doing the same thing, striking error, and opening eyes to truth.  Isa. went for the tenth.
So I guess he had him one more job if he was going to strike 90%........but I guess it's nothing
when that truth is like a light turned on, it just disappears. ha So I finally saw why he wanted
to go.

When Jonah was carried in the belly of the fish to the bottom of the sea or abyss (an image of Sheol) he said: " ... at the roots of the mountains, I went down... ", (Jonah 2:6).

In Revelation 16:20: "And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found". In the latter days men in their frenzied fear will call upon the evil powers (unclean spirits) in whom they put their trust. In vain, they beseech the mountains: "Fall on us", in vain they call panic stricken upon the hills: "Cover us", (Luke 23:30).

"It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains",(Isaiah 2:2).

RLV:  I never thought about Mt. Zion as the image of the HOLY Spirit, but I can tell you it is where
GOD HIMSELF is the JUDGE, thank God!!! The spirits of just men made perfect are there.  It is
the mountain He chose.  He "moved" from Mt. Siani to Mt. Zion I think it says.  Praise God.
Jesus at the cross was putting down works for salvation and bringing in a "better covenant."
And when that covenant was "promised" to Abraham, Abraham said "how do I know these things
about my inheritance promise of which you speak" and the Lord then showed him that his people would
go thru 450 years of horror~!!! Whew!! Then compare what is spoken in Galatians of the law
that was "added" because of transgressions, and how long that was? 450 years.  Connected?
Sure horror when authority is abused.

So the "authority" that ruled and God "allowed" it all the way to the "crucifying of Jesus Christ"
.........it "thought" ...........was a "temporal" authority.  When Jesus knew that He had conquered
it, He could say......""All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me",(Matt 28:18). The last enemy (death) had been dethroned and destroyed,(1Cor 15:26).

If they had known who it was that they were crucifying, they would not have crucified
the LORD of GLORY!

That is interesting what you say about the "foot of the mountain."  Doesn't the veil being'
rended from top to bottom  say the same thing?  Death that is in the flesh, is conquered by
the LIFE that is in the "tongue" of the PERFECT ONE....Jesus Christ.

Believe me, I know the "work" this involves.  Thanks. I sure did
recognize the Spirit and His Revelation in some of your words. Do
you visit other forums.  I can direct you to one or two if
you are interested.  Leave me a message PM ....or write me

What I would like to hear your discourse more thoroughly on is
presenting the BODY whole, .........if you can or if the Lord allows.
God bless you.

Hi! RedLetterVoice

Your knowledge of Scripture is most enjoyable for me to read. I envy your ability to search the language derivative and word meanings. I myself have never quite managed the patience required to conduct Bible study in such a manner.
When I was putting together the Post dealing with 'mountains' early this morning, I bumped into the scripture saying, " ... say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove". I was reminded of the very early days of my Christian walk when I was always frantically challenging the genuineness of my faith.
I lived in a mountainous area at the time and one of these tests of faith had me randomly choosing a mountain and firmly speaking to it.
Much to my disappointment, the mountain never budged ... not even an inch.
And, much to my relief too, a couple of years later I came to realize that the apostle Paul and I had something in common, "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child".
Of course, it goes beyond saying that I never did reckon at the time with the fact that those who lived at the foothill of those mountains surely must have been pleading that my reckless test of faith would fail. Otherwise, I would writing this Post from a prison cell sweating out a term for mass murder.  :sigh:

Please explain more to me about what you were meaning with this: "What I would like to hear your discourse more thoroughly on is presenting the BODY whole, .........if you can or if the Lord allows.
God bless you". The intent of your question escapes me.

Gilbert, I was so blessed by your post that I quoted from, it just
woke up what was in ME.  ha

I have always used the same type of Bible, page 32 must have
what the last Bible had on it, on page 32......because I have
this photogenic sorta mind......but I can remember and speak
and write usually which book it is in and the thereabout chapter.
It is simply from studying for years.

The Bible is like a puzzel, keeps showing more and more as one
finds a piece.  But that which you wrote even down to lst cor 15
was right on.........the Spirit had to reveal that.

I am glad you shared.  Don't worry about the "body" request, if
the Lord didn't quicken something in you, don't try, just leave it
alone.

I think we live our entire lives learning to leave all things into the
hand of the Lord and thereby making HIM Lord of our lives.
And we are taught so much more especially by our early teaching.
It is not an easy overnight task to learn to seperate what is really
God and what is us.

Blessings to you Brother,.
