A word on subjection

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.  8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:6-8)

"...You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. (Hebrews 2:8)

The carnal mind CANNOT be subject to God. And yet we see that God is putting ALL things in subjection under the feet of Christ, though we do not see this fully manifest...yet.

My point is that if all things are some day fully subject to Him, it must naturally follow that there will no longer be any carnal mind anywhere, for this cannot be subject to God. So subjection cannot be in the sense of "I am in hell where I grudgingly acknowledge your Lordship under immense torment" but rather a full defeat of carnality and enmity throughout all creation.

Amen! "the lion will eat straw like the ox and the bear will graze with the cow.. the small child will be able to play at the entrance to the poisonous snake den" (Is. 11:7) That's how total His subduing will be!
