Reaping from the flesh

Yesterday I was driving and pondering as I do.  I was praying for release from the flesh.  This came to mind:

The one who sows to the flesh will reap corruption from the flesh.

But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.

I haven't really worked this all out, but any thoughts?  Maybe this would fit in the divine irony thread?  Out of death comes life, we know that. 

The seed must fall to the ground and die, to become the tree, but Jesus didn't sow to the flesh so that kind of negates the thought.

For me it's a reference to a Sabbath year. Even a Jubilee year.

The Jews crossed the Jordan and ate what they didn't plant.
Could be wrong but they crossed on a Sabbath or even Jubilee year.

It's all very URish.
It means (to me) God also harvests "bad seed people".
That's part of the circle.
People that have not worked (unbelievers etc) recieve salvation because Jesus worked for them. Sabbath year for them. No work and still harvesting eternal life.
