Children of God

1 John 3;1-6 [rotherham version] " Behold what manner of ;ove the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called children of God, and we are such! Therefore the world understands us not because it did not understand Him. Beloved! We are now children of God; and it has not yet been manifested what we shall be, we KNOW that if He should be manifest, WE SHALL BE LIKE UNTO HIM because we shall see Him just as He is and whoever has this hope on him is purifying himself just as He is pure. Whoever is committing sin is also committing lawlessness; and you know that He was made manifest in order that our sins He should take away, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever does live in Him is not sinning: whoever is sinning has not seen Him and does not understand Him."

* What amazes me is the statement that we are allowed to be called children [sons/daugthers] of God.
