Tentmaker Resources on OT v NT??

I spend a lot of time on the internet reading debates between non-believers to believers and one of the biggest points from the other side is the true nature of God as revealed in the OT vs the NT. Many non-believers see the God of the OT to be contradictory to that of the NT, and I'm trying to find UR based resources/discussions on this topic.

I hope this question isn't considered disrespectful to Scripture. I am truly on the hunt for reconciling the true nature of God, which I believe to be love, with the descriptions of Him in the OT.

Hi Forest ,
  I was hoping someone would  comment by now , I do not know if this helps you  or not , but it did help me  overcome  some of my own personal  fears  , when I was still trying to worship the unknown God  ,  God was unknown   my me   and  only had what was taught in sunday schools and preachers etc and heard   to work with , very limited  understanding  fueled by fear .
I am one that does believe the Holy Spirit has to teach you  from the heart  to grow in truth and grace  , any other means  is fruitless   head knowledge   that we all see in the religious circles   as man made images of God to worship  as idols of the heart  . :sigh:

First fear driven   teaching was God is a consuming fire    , old testament   scripture     and was taught to fear that fire as any one that is still thinking  with the carnal nature   in tact  and ruling the heart   that is always a contrary nature of death  ruling  against the Holy Spirit of Life

  Deut 4 Warning against Idolatry
...23"So watch yourselves, that you do not forget the covenant of the LORD your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a graven image in the form of anything against which the LORD your God has commanded you. 24"For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. 25"When you become the father of children and children's children and have remained long in the land, and act corruptly, and make an idol in the form of anything, and do that which is evil in the sight of the LORD your God so as to provoke Him to anger,...

It was not until     the Holy Spirit taught   me somthing about the  burning bush that was not consumed   , though I had read it before many times , but never understood the  depth of its meaning  . in  Exodus 3 the burning bush is the location at which Moses was appointed by Adonai (God) to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into Canaan.

When it was Gods love as a jealousy  over us to lead  us  from out of the world unto His marvelous Light knowledge of Him

   When  can take on the true nature of Gods   Holy Spirit & fire baptism   , that was shown in the  old testament   as a constant and cleansing  consummation  that keeps all forma of evil away   from the pure and Holy things of God  , explaining the  fear the devils have with   Gods  Son  and mind of Christ that special anointing    of being born again  that was in the old testament but so well hidden  in the ages    till THE LORD JESUS CHRIST COME TO SHOW  OPENLY that work of God     from the beginning   

There is somthing  hidden and holy in mankind  that evil cannot touch it   , like carrying a child in the womb   and we do not know what it is being formed in  them yet  ,  but hidden  from the sight of mankind , our own animal like nature where evil and corruption dwells  all around it  , as it is like being walled in  and surrounded     and when the   Holy Spirit  is set to  be birthing the sons of God   , that is the being born again of the Spirit of truth    and same substance   of  GODS CHOSEN   from the beginning , many in the old testament had the same substance   of faith in them but not the  full knowledge  , this is why we see God as   showing the corruptible image and how He is not pleased with it   at all , it is idolatrous  , making His WORD true   as to giving the   great  whore of the earth Babylon   all this time to repent   [ Gen 11]   but men love to glory in men and call it by name only GOD   , But it is not God nor his true nature     but the image of the beast ...  This is why  Jesus Christ come to destroy the works of   satan  and take death  captive  , making Him now the Lord of the dead and living [holding everything in HIMSELF   chapters 1 & Col 2]   , satan does not have the power  any longer    to accuse of us  of sin  ,[Jesus actually takes away the sins of the whole world ] When the cross of Jesus Christ   and the forgiveness of sins  is actually   applied by  total dependant  faith in HIM  and not of ourselves it is the gift of God every   one will know this    in the end  for sure , it is just some have not come to this place  of full assurance and  belief and faith in God  yet ..  but every knee will bow and  every tongue will confess the Lord   in their own order , Jesus is the finishing work   and rest   in this hope that makes  us not ashamed    to believe in God and  will live  because GOD IS THE ONLY eternal    thing that exist    and being a tiny seed of His  substance will  survive and overcome all things in the end  ,  , the fear of the unknown  , become known  and to  Know Him is to love   HIM 100 %   till this measure of Holy Spirit is  completed  in us  all ...

   This is my shortest ability to explain my own faith   and understanding it   so far   with a clarity I hope makes some kind of sense   to  you  :2c:
   doubt/unbelief   is a powerful  weapon  of spiritual warfare , but LOVE/GOD  overcomes every  weapon formed against     him / GOD  and if God be for us who can be against us ?

1Cor 3
22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future. All of them belong to you, 23and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.    We must worship  God in Spirit and truth   /His Word is Life   from the dead ...     the dead know nothing of God  though they live in the world as free men  , not knowing they are slaves to sin and sin is death  in the proverbial nutshell      :2c:
