When a girl accepted the wedding proposal of a boy he went back the his father's house and started building a wedding room in which they will consummate the marriage.
That was a real regular house and a regular room.
I'm wondering there is something more hidden here.
The Temple was also called a house. Just as today a church building is called the house of God.
A house can also be a family plus servants.
Ps 122:1 Temple

Deut 5.6 House of bondage (land of) slavery
2 Sam 1.12 house nation
Jesus called His body Temple. A Temple, as we saw above, is also a house.
Jesus went away preparing a room in the house of God with has many rooms.
When we combine 2 Sam 1:12, Ps 122:1 and the words of Jesus the rooms Jesus is preparing might very well be our own bodies for a pentecost event when the HS comes to live in His new room(s).

also, "in my Fathers house" the universe and all that is "are many abiding places. I go to prepare a place for you.." - I go to be crucified.. (and ?not I go to prepare a place in heaven for you like the mainstream Church has always believed.. for soul/inherent immortality)
One doesn't exclude the other. In the Jewish mind Scripture has 4 layers.
Level 1: pshat=simple/direct
Level 2: remez=hinting
Level 3: darash=comparison/commentary
Level 4: sod=deep, hidden
Level 1: Point to literal Jewish wedding customs
Level 2: Point to the Temple of stone and wood
Level 3: Our body
Level 4: ?????
Level 2 and 3 should maybe be switched?
