Hi everyone I was gone for vacation and am now just catching up on all the great stuff here...
I have seen the site for my self and I'm a beleiver that it is there as well,the funny part is you can't get at it close enough because it is a Palestinian parking lot for old trucks on one side.
Everything is very close proximity and tunnels are everywhere but everything is very restricted and controlled

David, but isn't you faith based on something? (like a visible Bible) Why you believe in God and not Kermit? Did you one day wake up and said: Let's believe something.

I love questions like these . . .it creates an atmosphere for God to "reveal" something to us that is already "in" us.  WW, sometimes I sense when you ask things like this, you are purposely being as they say the devil's advocate.  I mean this in a great way, not anything derogatory.  This theme leads into a bit of a personal revelation of my own when it comes to "establishing" faith.

In the mainline churches I've seen and was brought up in, it is the assumed order for faith to manifest by way of reading the Bible and then building a belief on what you're reading.  That's why Christian forums are so popular.  Everyone has a doctrine based on what has either been preached to them over the years, or what they've read on their own, and mostly, the combination of the two.

A person will say "This is the right way because this Scripture says "this" about it . . ." and many will read the passage and find that it appears to be saying what the person said and so they allow that to become part of their doctrinal understanding.  Then later when someone else comes along with a different take on it, there will be a debate, a defense, possibly a quarrel until either a wall is built between the two who are at odds, or a relationship is severed, or they'll try the most cordial thing and agree to disagree.

True revelation always has room for others to disaprove because a revelation is not something that comes in mass production.  It's an internal experience.  And knowing that we're all different, it's only sensible to also know that personal revelation for one person is going to be different from another.  Debates can be effective if both people are approaching it in humility rather than aggressive behavior.  I can win a debate, but in winning the debate, I can still walk away being wrong.  Especially when it comes to spiritual matters because in the kingdom, everything is really the opposite of how I "think" it should be.

Faith doesn't come by reading the word, it comes by "hearing" it.  The word comes to me "inwardly".  my spirit is the one proclaiming or preaching it, but if I'm walking according to my reasoning and not walking "in" the spirit, then comes the question "who" will be able to hear it?

I think what Beloved Servant pasted on Romans 10 speaks volumes . . . the last verse posted states
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

The "sound" of life goes out to all.  Faith comes by hearing the sound inside me, calling me to places my mind doesn't understand.  The only way we can hear the sound of the spirit is when we take captive the noise of our thoughts.  Hearing the sound births faith from within.  I don't rely on what I read until after I've already heard the sound from within first.

Doctrine should never be based on what comes from the outside.  The foundation should always begin from within first.  That's why I've shared before that I think the general population of the church have their doctrine on building doctrine all backwords.  It's not based on what my mind reads, it's based on what the sound reveals.  As the reverberation of life manifests the nature of Christ, my mind is then able to "read" what's written with better effectiveness and clarity.  It's the sound within that allows me to rightly divide that which is with out.
