A light has a switch which supplies the power so that the light shines. If the switch is not turned on then there is no light- does not mean the light will not work, or has no place or right to be there- just is not currently turned on.  The one who turns that light on has the power and intentions to do so at their leisure or arranged time.
Each in his appointed time is that very principle.
Paul says he planted, Apollos watered, but God makes us grow.
Man can plant seeds, water, fertilise, yet some do not grow.
Each in his appointed time illustrates that some will not grow in this time. Without the resurrection this would be pointless. Without the second death, which is to be for those not yet corrected by God, this too seems vague.
Paul ended up realising that he was to share the word, but not up to him who was converted.
1 Thess 4;9 " Now about your love for one another, we do not need to write to you for you yourselves have been taught by God how to love one another."
1 Thess 2;13 " And for this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it truly is, the word of God, which even now is doing it's work in you who believe."
You who believe seem to be the ecclesia.
Paul states a few names. Says in 2 Tim 4;16 that everyone had deserted him. Many had heard the word, felt the need for change, did not keep up that change but fell away. Would seem crazy if there was such a failure were it not for the fact that these will learn in their appointed time what had really happened and why.
I.M.O this is all so that there will be true equality of position for man since there is only one source of life- Christ.
In my own family I have brothers and a sister. We were not all born on the same day yet we are in the same family.
Each in his own turn seems to be simply that principle applying to our spiritual birth.

It was always (of course) His intent to save all.. life is as it is, including death(!) because He endowed thinking ability (to man and angel). Now, with thinking ability, surely(?) sooner or later, comes the ability to make choices. (Tho thankfully :faint: extremely limited!) It's obvious, to me, He did not make us to be robots.. programmed to never be able to stray.

And since He must be (surely?) life itself and also perfection, well, as soon as one thinks, says or does anything which differs with what He chooses, they become imperfect, the opposite of life.. But He built the rescue in from the beginning / foundation.

It seems to me He is letting mankind's choices run their course. Yes (imo) we are chewing on that fruit of knowing good from evil which is also life from death.. and true from untrue.

Now what is it that is said to be the best teacher? And surely(?) 'judgment day' has to be a very long day and will include the review of all human history. Why waste all this good lesson? The lesson of building on sand as opposed to building on the Rock. That the unveiling - when mankind's ways and empires fail and crash - is the same "story" of every one's life and the time they live in.. That to wander away from Him can only ever end in a self destructive wisp of smoke.. and dust.. (dust and ashes). That He has done all things just as He has in order to bring about the very best of all possibilities.. after all He can only be perfect and perfect makes no mistakes. Loses nothing. (But I'm starting to ramble!)

In a drama - His truth proving drama(?) - you have to have more than one main character, so to speak. (Or so I figure).. Some He chose as a witness during this life.. but most, or the majority throughout the ages proceed as we naturally would. We all die. But He raises. All believers in the 1st resurrection, and all the rest in the 2nd resurrection - being followed by Judgment 'Day', a day I believe will be an intense review of all history upon this earth.. Making good use of this unavoidable journey and lesson (if there's to be thinking ability that is) to deeply engrave upon every heart and mind, in heaven and earth, the full understanding of good from evil / life from death,nonlife.. :2c: :smile: Why raise the not yet saved if it is not His intent to redeem and reconcile them?

:Chinscratch: It's something to ponder, what if He'd chosen to have none believe during this life? what difference would that have made in the world and history? And how different His return? and how different then, Judgment 'Day'/Great White Throne Judgment? (And how would we build an ages to ages un-breakable paradise/perfection? Not that we could! :laughing7: ) I figure the work, and the precision of the outcome is very important, not only because His word tells us, but also because He being life, goes through, suffers and experiences all sufferings and indignations which ever occur.. That's putting Himself through quite a bit..
