I skimmed the article, and have one big problem with it - it says the Flood happened right there in the middle of ancient history, but I always believed that the Flood happened before the beginning of history as we know it, that is, secular history.  The continuity of ancient history in the article's charts contradicts the Flood placed in the middle of it.

My own view of the Flood, after a lot or research and reading is this:  In the antediluvian period, the Earth was smaller, with much less water.  The water came from Mars, which once had a lot of water, but now has very little.  At some time in the past, (a la Velikovsky, Mars came close enough to the Earth that the waters on Mars sought their "own level" and flowed to Earth, along with much of the Martian atmosphere.  The massive outflow channels on Mars indicate this, but the place to which they flowed is not indicated, because it is now far away from Mars.  After this, the Earth was divided, as Genesis states, as it grew bigger, and the continents split and spread apart.  We know this because all the continents fit together, without subduction or even much distortion - on a much smaller globe.  It is easy to see that they fit across the Atlantic Ocean, but it is not so well known that they also fit across the Pacific Ocean as well.  Comparative geology has proven that rocks on one coast match rocks from the opposite coast.  When this happened, the excess Martian water subsided into the new Ocean basins, allowing land to reappear - Flood over.
