then maybe it has happened like this......  'You brood of viper's who warned you to flee from the

Hi Cat Song ,

I read the  short article   and though they may think its from someone who wrote it in Babylon , it could very well be so    and not exactly what Noah  was  dealing with

But if you would find any article  writen by anyone of us who studied   some bible  story  and   wrote   our own perceptions of what we think it means and some one discovered it  400  or 4000 years from now  , they too  might be in for a big surpise
Jesus is the reward  !!

Every one of the many flood stories from around the world is adapted to the time, place, and culture.  Among the American Indians, those who escaped the flood did so in a canoe (according to that myth).  That doesn't make the Ark of Noah a canoe any more than the cuneiform account makes the Ark round, like the coracles the Sumerians commonly used.  I take the Genesis account as the reference standard.  However, remember too, that if events happened as Genesis describes, we would expect to see such accounts in other cultures, and we do.  For instance, it is cleverly encoded into the traditional Chinese writing system.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Just wanted to welcome to to Tentmaker. I hope your time here will be profitable. I only know the story of Noah and the Ark. I think that it must have been huge. I tend to agree with Micah and Lazarus in that, IMO it (the flood) was relative to the size of the known world at that time, but I can't be I can't be totally sure. I think if there were to be another flood, it would be a lot bigger than the last one!

Shalom
