Sometimes I look at religious debates/religion/church/etc. as people fighting over the instruction manual.
Bear with me...  :laughing7:

It's like a group of people all standing around a box. Inside the box is a heart. There are many parts and pieces and intricate looking hardware. There is a large group of people pouring over the instruction manual and everyone is trying to have their say about how to put the heart together. They are passing the manual back and forth, arguing, discussing... meanwhile, another little group of people start working with all of the pieces and lo and behold, they put it together!  Here it is! A beautiful heart!  :HeartThrob:

Meanwhile, the other folks are still so busy with the instruction manual that they don't even notice the smaller group of people that are there waving the heart  :HeartThrob: in the air saying "Hey you guys!! No need to argue anymore... here it is! We have put the pieces together! Look at this beautful heart!!! Think of all the wonderful things we can do with this heart!!!"

But the other folks... still would rather discuss the instruction manual.

So the smaller group of people, leave them to discuss their instruction manual, and go out into the world with their new heart  :HeartThrob: spreading love.

THE END.

spiritual superiority is a separatist belief

imo, one of the tricks of the carnal mind in order to satisfy your "ache" is to convince oneself of superior spiritual "essence" compared to others.

I read what you wrote (earlier today) before you edited it Zeek.  I believe you have assumed that I put myself in the category of the smaller group? Therefore, what others saw as "beautiful", you saw as "ugly". I'm sure it wouldn't hurt you to try to look further and possibly beyond what your eyes see, and try to find the beauty like others have.

I was contemplating another thread and was thinking of my reply to that thread, when I started to chuckle at myself. I realized I was in that first larger group of people, arguing and discussing the instruction manual... and I started to laugh at myself and this is where I got the idea for my thread. Just a little revelation I had. I hope it touches others.

Thank you to those who understand my intent... :HeartThrob:.... behind this thread.

P.S. and if may be so honest here... Zeek, the only "ache" I felt is the one my heart felt when I read your reply.
