After a trillion ^ trillion years, someone in Hell still has not even completed .000000001% of their sentence. In fact, no matter how many 0's you add before the 1, it is still way too generous of a representation of their completed sentence.
This is what mathematicians call an infinite negative (or something like that.) When you use finite things to represent infinite concepts you have some problems imo
1) No matter how many finite things you pile up, you are never any closer to reaching your infinity.
therefore
2) Trying to measure infinity, is comparing apples and oranges. Saying someone has to serve an infinite sentence is a self-contradiction as it can never be fulfilled.

3) If God consigned people to eternal hell in order to fulfill justice, God would be contradicting himself. He would also be lying, since in the name of "justice" he subjects people to an impossible sentence.

In the Law God gave to Moses, He never specified any punishment worse than death. There was no mention or warning of an everlasting Hell to follow. So there:

Firstly, I don't equate God's laws with His will.

I stated that the punishment was temporal in nature and not intended to be used for anything beyond the grave: thereby agreeing with Laz's assertion. I then stated what I had come to believe was the reason for the temporally specific law.
You are the one who said you disagree with Laz, and because I agree with him, you must logically then also disagree with me. How can Laz and I be in agreement, but you claim to disagree with Laz, and yet at the same time claim to agree with me?

I was saying that an act deserving death did not also deserve endless punishment, so the death was enough to satisfy justice. He was saying that an act deserving the loss of an eye did not also deserve the loss of endless eyes, so the loss of one eye was enough to satisfy justice. Laz: I think that might be a tad harse brother. If you want to take a shot at me for being his target, I will gladly listen. The mods have to protect the integrity of the group.
