Discussion here has had me pondering..
We can look through history and see that in each generation there's been a remnant of believers. And we know the leaven in Old Testament days was a remnant of fermented dough. Each remnant of fermented dough would be worked into the next batch of dough, and it would leaven the whole batch.
So when will the remnants of each generation "leaven the whole lump" of their generation?
"..A little leaven leavens the whole lump." (Galatians 5:9)
"The Kingdom of Heaven" Jesus said, "is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened." (Matthew 13:33; 1 Corinthians 15:22-28)
When will the remnants of each generation "leaven the whole lump"?
A possible answer — There are survivors of man's apocalypse who live during the millennium of Jesus. That's part of two or three generations? Then "the rest of the dead.. come to life.. after the thousand years" (popularly called millennium). This is when Judgment 'Day' begins. (Revelation 20:6-13)
How long does Judgment 'Day' last? Is it in the pattern of the Autumn Holy Days of Leviticus chapter 23? — Trumpets, ten days later, Day of Atonement, five days later Tabernacles..

I.M.O the Great White throne/judgment is an unlimited time frame by time, yet is to come to a conclusion when ALL are corrected.
The "leaven' will probably be involved in that process.
This all happens before the new heavens and earth, but after the millennium.
Also I.M.O if you are not in the ecclesia then you need to be placed in the lake of fire, after being judged, to confirm your position in Christ, because the lake of fire will burn away the chaff/rubbish/sin/personal effort, and then be done away with when the new heavens and earth come about.

I can't remember where I first read about the word remnant also referring to leaven (or vice versa?)
...oh wait.. it was a post by WhiteWings.. I think it's a very strong support / proof of Christian Universalism! (UR) And after a while it seemed logical to wonder "when?" will the remnant leaven the whole lump? And from there to "when" will the remnant(s of each generation) leaven the whole lump of their generation? And of course, the answer is in God's Word..
