I believe the world is being prepared for the millennial age. (1000 year rule of Christ (with an Iron Rod (as people will still require to be 'governed' to keep them in line)), however the rulers of the coming age will be 'just' unlike our current 'injustice system'. 
So in that respect 'yes'; everything happening now is a 'transition' into the next age. 
It is all necessary and will happen quickly once it starts. (REV 1:1).  (It started in Sept 2017 (sign of virgin)) and lasts 7 years.

The worlds' 'kingdom' is built upon sand and could never last and we are seeing its end. - It's pathetic last struggle to hold onto it's stolen 'power'.
It's whole 'kingdom' is meaningless, because we know that anything of value (honour, love, respect etc) can never be bought but must be earned. 
They traded the temporal for the eternal being 'unwise' builders.
'The husbandman that labours must be first partaker of the fruit'.
Because the world's kingdom really is 'the worlds kingdom' (global), once one card falls the rest will follow because all of the worlds organizations (etc) are interlinked. Education. 'science', politics, religions, 'news', media, banks, shops, brands, justice system, etc etc...  It's end then will be very brutal...Very blunt and swift and sweet indeed! - A whole new world will emerge will emerge from this where countries will realize who the real enemy was and how they had been played by the devil. 
What is coming will unite the whole world in love in a way never seen before.
Common law (God's law) is about to take over through His measures (trumpets etc); putting the 2nd (spiritual) (chosen) man in rightful power.  The earth was made for Christ (the overcomer), not for a horde of evil folks playing 'god'. 
The 'saviour' is 'Christ' in YOU, the hope of glory.  Man must repent!  The 'saviour' is the overcoming man...The 'Christ', the chosen One.

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him

The devil is making a fool of a lot of people right now who follow tyrannical rules! 
No-one should slander the devil, in the same way a person shouldn't blame a gun for shooting people. - Evil unused is merely an 'option', but nevertheless the devil's days are running out quickly having served it's purpose for this age!

I believe that the Satanists (the devil is 'god' of this age) are creating their own 'fake' 'revelation' by trying to control current events. 
They do this through weather manipulation etc...Heating up the earth (3rd earth burned up) to incite volcanoes and earthquakes and deliberately cause floods and so on. 
In their folly I believe they even think they can 'outsmart' God and 'win'. But it is God ultimately in control of everything behind the scenes.  They are clay in His hands.
They will create a 'great deception' in this time and probably do away with politicians etc to make way for a new leader(s).
We are almost at the midway point (dragon cast out of heaven) and we shall see 'them' start to understand that they have a very short time left and take ever-more desperate measures to hold onto their pathetic meaningless, stolen kingdom. 
All these evil folks ever achieved was their own destruction for their own evils and as a result of their evils (as they mean harm for us); God uses it for our good. 
In the end this will result in us forgiving them because 'they' actually (through their evil) spurred us on to be better (more godly).  And so again; we should not slander celestial beings or judge before the time appointed. 
Our job is to love and that should keep us busy enough.

Minds and hearts are changing day by day...
We just have to be strong and endure until that great (and terrible (for some)) day.

Revelation tells us in advance so we can prepare and not be afraid or taken by surprise.  The volcano is one of the focuses of things in these coming weeks/months.

Personally speaking I have longed for this 'fire' to be kindled for a very long time.

     I think the iron rod is Truth.. it can?t be broken - the sum of this life?s lesson..
God being Life and ?is perfect? makes imperfect the opposite of God/Life..
     .. Endowing thinking and reasoning ability, changed, of course, all things.. Don?t you think? But.. what?s the other option?
    Also if life itself is the energy (vibration) of everything that is, obviously the energy is not only life, but perfection. Which makes imperfect the opposite of life. The visible option of imperfection/straying God put in the garden is being let to run its course proving imperfection is trouble (tribulation) ruin (apocalypse) and ultimately death (not being). Thankfully ?God is savior of all? 1Tim.4:10. :dsunny: :cloud9:

I see the Iron Rod as people being ruled with (as you say) 'truth' and I'd add love and fairness (proper justice) etc to that. - Basically a new 'Ruler' but Who is 'just'. 
I long to see this happen and some common-sense coming back to the world.

I see it as we are being perfected according to the Scripture.  God (His spirit) is already perfect but all flesh is yet to be (and thus 'us' (our souls/essence) also).

There really is only One way to go... 

Darkness and misery or Light and joy.
Evil and anger or Love and peace.
Greed and envy or selflessness and contentment.

...Each person will work it out in their own time/order, that God (love/truth/peace etc etc) is for their own best interests.

Really...All God has to do is wait.  And He has forever.
