Daniel 12:Everlasting Contempt

Hello everyone, I was wondering what your thoughts are of the following verse from Daniel Chapter 12 verse 2. Would the Everlasting Contempt refer to  corrective punishment? I would like to see your thoughts on that verse. Also, I apologize if this question has been asked before, if that's the case, feel free to link me to wherever it was first asked.

Daniel 12:1-2

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

as it relates to the parable of the ten virgins,where all slept in the dust of the earth......[the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak]

    the five wise virgins had bought[believed in the salvation of All men..by His spirit/and not reckoned that the weakness of the flesh

  of man,could triumph over the will of God that all men be saved/what is impossible with men,is possible with God[rich in faith in Him]

  the five foolish[ishness of men] did not buy[have faith in the ability of God to save all men..by MY SPIRIT...and reckoned God's

  work of the spirit[in Christ..taking away all their sin] with contempt[disrespect for the authority of a Court or dignity  legislature]


   Thus...their attitude will be scorned/dispised eternally..as beneath the power and authority of God to accomplish this purpose...

  and as a 'meager/mean'[little oil] thing against HIS SPIRIT...having despised His legal act done through Christ[Lamb/Court sat

  kingdom given unto the saints]  Lack of belief in Him,His Christ,Spirit and power..believing in instead of the works of their hands[flesh

and blood can not please Him] and that salvation is dependant of the works of men's hands]


   Just as we,too...who used to concur with the eternal loss of the majority of men/and even eternal torture of them..scorn such

  low thoughts,now.as a mean thing/thought to assign to God[it is beneath Him]

ps  it is a foolish thing to not believe that God will accomplish His will ..even though it be  an 'impossible' thing with men.

Everlasting is translated from olam a word which refers to a time frame that ends at the visible horizon. Jewish people use it also for their concept of an age. For example "tikkun olam" was the time they hoped for when God would bring healing into the earth. The olam life is the equivalent of aionios life defined in the Bible as the unification of Christ and man by the Spirit and the knowledge of God and salvation from sin that occurs through that unity. In addition to that aion abiding Life man is promised immortality in the gospel, by which we will never physically die again. The "contempt" or judgement upon those in the second resurrection is age abiding as well but is terminated at the point when Christ destroys death and God is all in all.
