Have you heard of Daryl Davis getting people to leave the KKK?

I watched a documentary called "Accidental Courtesy" about a guy named Daryl Davis. I think he is a very inspiring guy, he is a guy that has formed relationships or even friendships with the KKK(Ku Klux Klan) despite him being a black guy because according to him, he wanted to understand their reasons for hating or thinking so negatively about people they don't even know. He has gotten dozens or more KKK members(or other racist groups) to leave their racist groups and beliefs including some of their high ranking leaders. I thought it is inspiring as a christian not only against racism but in loving our enemies and being against false beliefs rather than the people under the deception of false beliefs. He seems to have Paul's attitude of
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."- Ephesians 6:12

According to Wikipedia he is a christian and many people in the KKK claim to be christian. So I bet many of these people are not only leaving the KKK but having their religion purged of those false doctrines("Kinism" and so on) whether he gets theological with them or not. It is awesome, I like to see good things being done like this!

Amen! My hat is definitely off to him! And though I don't know him I alteady have sister affection for him. How truly wonderful God's family is.. and shall be! And life with no dislike.. no racism or accusations of racism.. but love will truly rule..  :HeartThrob: :cloud9:

I too see this as something wonderful, like Moses freeing God's children from captivity, and because our fight is not with flesh and blood but against principalities, that principality being "prejudice", "a nature" taught by those who are enslaved to it.

For me, "prejudice" has nothing to do with skin color, it has to do with the mindset that "one person is better than another" therefore by this principle (nature), they are to rule OVER who they think as a lesser person, which of course they become a slave to that way of thinking ... they become a slave to a "principality".

It's awesome to see  and hear of what God is doing in others.
