Dandelion

I have heard this song, though I did not grow up with this type of music. It was not until I was about 50 years old that I started to hear songs like this. I truly like the sentiment, but it certainly was not the story of my life. Nor, do I suppose, it is for those of us who are UR folks, for the most part. At least, not in the spirit this song was most likely written in.

In some ways, I wish things had been that simple for me. But, on the other hand, it has been a glorious journey and adventure. One which I was not ready or eager for at first.......but, definitely one I would never want to give up now.

In the circles I moved in when I was young, I am often considered a rebel, an outcast, and a black sheep. I started out in life as the very last person that anyone would have expected that that would happen to. Searching for truth is a perilous journey, in life, but a road I refused to give up, and now embrace with all my being.  I have learned to so enjoy my walk to a 'different drummer'. I thank God for the me that has unfolded.

7"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened....

Dandelion,

You are incredible! I am looking forward to getting the whole story of your life (and everyone else,s too) when we are all together for eternity.  It is going to be great to see the big picture that will be revealed of how His plans all came together for each of us.

As a side, an acquaintance of mine was in a standoff with the police the other day.  He became so distressed at the thought of spending a long time in jail, that he decided to just take his own life.  He was certainly not a good person (like who of us is?).  That night I had a (kind of) dream.  His life was in such turmoil and as soon as he killed himself, he was in the presence of Jesus.  Jesus told him "you're sins are forgiven .... enter my rest".  He was at peace.  I'm sure he is at peace now.  That sums up my hope for all.

My dad wasn't much of a believer, but I think of a song he always loved.  Willie Nelson sings it well!

I will say the same thing to you about your remark to me as I said to another on another board .....

there are so many good things that are hidden in your words to me ...  they do not need to be said, so I will sum up all that I could say into one little package (that contains all)

Thank you very much Patinak for each of our songs sing of His finished work in us to perfection

..."makes me love everybody.." -- love that line.. "it'll save all our children.." .."it will take us all to heaven.."

And what a great picture (on this video) of Willie!

I wish I could find a church that plays this kind of music. I'm not much a fan of contemporary worship or Christian music. I like that old time music and that old time religion!
