A middle ground between teetotalism and non-teetotalism... [joke]

I saw some other christians debating whether drinking alcohol is permissible and I got to thinking...

I wonder if any christians take a middle ground and just swish it around in their mouth for taste and spit it out rather than swallowing it! I think that is what I would do if I really liked the taste.

Maybe I should try to start a movement "the Swishers", for people that are health and budget-conscious.
"Like the taste of wine but you're conflicted by the deleterious effects of ethanol?  Simply swish and spit!"
Just have a second empty glass ready. Pour the drink into empty "glass A", then pour the drink from glass A into mouth, swish it around and spit into empty glass B instead of swallowing. The really great thing about this is that you can now re-taste/recycle the drink from glass B and spit it into glass A and just repeat the process back and forth as long as you want! You could have a whole bottle's worth of taste with just a mouthful or two worth of drink and be spared the detrimental effects of ethanol!  :icon_jokercolor:
