Cute. :)
excerpt - "And even though his security blanket remains a major source of ridicule for the otherwise mature and thoughtful Linus, he simply refuses to give it up.
Until this moment. When he simply drops it.
In that climactic scene when Linus shares "what Christmas is all about," he drops his security blanket, and I am now convinced that this is intentional. Most telling is the specific moment he drops it: when he utters the words, "fear not".

Thanks for sharing this James :thumbsup:
Great message ! The Lord does calm our fears , just as a parent calms a child .
A friend on FB had a post , One tree was the old fashioned multi colored tree and the other tree was brilliant white , and wanted everyone to choose their favorite .
This friend has lost her son unexpectedly 2 years ago spring , and has lost her desire for Christmas and all the joy and festivities and has been looking for comfort in the Lord Jesus Christ , she is trying to go on for the rest of her family , but it is just not the same to her .
We have been close since she was a teenager and I was 20 .
I told her , I like them both , I see the multi-colored tree as the old Israel coat of many colors of Joseph and the new brilliant white like the transfiguration of Matt 17 when Jesus showed them .
I could not have said that a few years back , I saw all that as evil and would not have said a word ... I was looking at everything as good or evil .
The posts on Christmas here and the Good Lord's Holy Spirit just taught me something pretty powerful and a change of attitude .
The tree of Life is all about LIVING like a little child of God , little children come unto me ... come as a little child ,,,
I honestly can see Jesus in them things now and in everything and it is pure and good , not looking at everything as ,or good or evil .
When you can see Jesus in everything and everyone , you are living as a child of the KING and it is all about the LOVE , Love will carry you though , and your fears and doubts cease
When you begin to SEE Jesus in everything Gods Love has removed those scales / blinders from our eyes
When you see Jesus , you have seen the Father , the pure in heart shall see God [ Matt 25]
John 14 The Way, the Truth, and the Life
...8Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."
9Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip?
He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father '?
10"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me?
The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative,
but the Father abiding in Me does His works.
God bless with more of Him :HeartThrob:

out of the mouths of babes..He has furnished praise...
amen!
I love this show and watch it once, at least, every Christmas time, but I never noticed that.
Actually, in all sincerity, that is very profound!
And touching.......
Thank you, jabcat!

Psalm 91 - Beautiful
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust."
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler[a]
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation."
