I was thinking the way they spread the good news in the old days, was they had communities of believers (in the good news) who lived together under the Lordship of the Risen Lord Jesus Christ. And there was something so different about them that the bigwigs came to visit to check them out and other times they worshiped and listened to HS who selected a couple to go out together and carry on living the good news in other places with more people and the word grew and multiplied.

I've been down Quakers in Mount Lawley the last few weeks. I don't know if there are any believers there. it is very quite, but i quite like that, though i'd really love some communion bread and wine in the corner sometime :)

"eating and drinking _____" has survived in our lexicon as a cliche, that imo expresses the intent better anyway?

I like it tht they allow for the Holy Spirit to speak..have none commented to you, after?what about inviting some to dinner

after service? The Amish etc...live in established communities as you speak..but seem for  the most part to withdraw from all

other's....tourist come to see how they live. Many are satisfied with their 'form'of worship,  but I see you are not,Simmo.

that is the hardest part of being called out,I think...we are so scattered. But He says He will gather us one by one.But I will tell

you this,I have grown more in the spirit out of these worship systems..then I ever did in them..and I also feel more removed

from this world...a great division...in it but no part of it,any longer. It has made a deep longing /desire inme..that this world can

not fulfill.IDK maybe that is the way it is supposed to be.? Blessing untoyou,Simmo

a song;   There is a place for you and me where we can dwell eternally..

A place where love does abide..and Jesus is at our Father's side.

             Come sweet Kingdom,come quickly now...

And Bless your children as their heads they bow.

Christ in heaven, his Kingdom doth come..with blessing for His meek and obedient one.

It is early days with the quakers, I will see how it goes. They are not the amish lol, the quakers here are pretty engaged with society. I think an hours silence together speaks volumes! Its great leaving and not having to sort our loads of cognitive dissonance you have to deal with in a normal church. I think the time to talk will come and it will come from a deep  place. Will keep you updated. Did you know Sheila the Quakers is one of the few place as a women where you would have been free to minister since the 1600's?

Simmo

.... lel and I guess I posted on here cause I'm inviting anyone living in Perth to come along sometimes and sit in silence and we can chat after. It was Ross I think who was Perthy - but maybe there is others.

Simmo;
I was a music leader at Gosnells Baptist; tried sharing my beliefs and the pastor kicked me out.
Was not attending for 4 years.
Being out of the church, like Sheila, has been my growth time.
Now I identify with Christ going into the temple. He was there for the people, not the Pharisees.
Paul also talked about becoming like those around him so as to share on the personal level.
I now started two weeks ago going to the church, but this time knowing the security of the Christ's work and the depth of the plan am just going to see what happens. People can see the difference so will be like a silent witness and who knows, maybe this will start others asking questions.
Literally for me to live is Christ, to die is gain, the perfect love has cast out the fear of rejection.

If you want to meet for a chat we could possibly arrange something. I am free during Tuesdays, or Thursdays- could have a coffee somewhere.

Can happen occasionally.

Where two or three of you are gathered in My name, there I am in the midst of you; so indeed sometime in the future, however distant that future may be. :gimmefive:
