Title: More U.R. verses and support
Post by: marie glen on February 21, 2017, 09:38:17 PM
[ A List of 77 verses - http://tentmaker.org/forum/rules-and-faq/77-ultimate-reconciliation-and-renewal-scriptures/msg118063/#msg118063 ]

Psalm 147:4 & 5... He counts the number of the stars!
He calls them by their names!
Great is our Lord! And mighty in power!
                       His understanding is infinite!

I have heard that there are more stars - a lot more stars - than there are people. And when I googled it, it seems like it is very likely true: :dunno:
Quote
..an estimated 200-400 billion stars in our Milky Way Galaxy alone, and only an estimated 7 billion people currently..

And He made all the stars in one day, right? He knows them all. Numbers them, calls each by name..

It would be far more reasonable (wouldn't it?) to assume He would lose some of the stars, having so many, than that He will lose some of the people, who number so many less!

Amen!
Since we are a part of creation, would seem logical the creator knows what is happening.
Seems we only lose something when we are distracted; He is never distracted.
When we plan something we like to itemise and be specific; He is precise in every detail.
Consider the number of molecules that make us up in the physical; He knows every part that makes us human- designed that- what amazing skills and knowledge and wisdom.
All these illustrations are only a hint of our spiritual entity.
The whole scenario of knowing where we would be at this point in time before the world began, to me, removes all doubt as to the ability of our Father, along with Christ, to cover all bases and prepare us for a glorious future.

1 Cor 15;49 " Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we will also bear the likeness of the man of heaven."

Then behold, the word of the LORD came to Abraham, saying, "This man will not be your heir; but one who will come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir." 5And He took him outside and said, "Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be." 6Then he believed in the LORD; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.

:Chinscratch: ..and He didn't say.. except for I might lose that star over there.. or that one.. Thinking of the verse how "He stretched out the heavens.." - I've read before, a star created for every person.. "Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be."  :Chinscratch: :cloud9:

Revelation 4:8 - "And the four living creatures, each one, had six wings, which around and within [are] full of eyes, and ceasing not, day and night, saying,

`Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is coming`"

from Bible Hub (app):

      - "almighty" - the greek - #G3841 - "pantokratōr" - "almighty, ruler of all" -- from #3956 /pas, "all" and #2902 /krateo, "prevail" -- properly, almighty; unrestricted power, exercising absolute dominion

Amazing how the variant translations can cause a different understanding from the supposed same sentence.
The Tim list is a prime example;

Who wishes, Who desires, Who wants, Who will - I.M.O we are blessed to be aware of this difference factor and have the confidence
as to which is closest to the original language; ergo- " Who WILL , have all "
                                                                       not one will be lost.

Also interesting how there are variations to the will/desires.. part, yet none to the "all" part.

Then there are the differences as to what predestination means- I.M.O this is why there are so many religions- people won't agree on the definition. Fortunately, I.M.O this is due to the hardening of the heart so that 'ALL' will be saved to the same level of value- ergo true equality.
Rom 11;32 " For God has consigned all to disobedience so that He may show mercy to all."

I.M.O this is part of demonstrating the problems that arise when the basis of our beliefs vary so much that we are willing to fight to the death because we are right and they are wrong. Wars over the centuries have been about these differences.

All of these seem to be where there is no agreement about the laws of life- leaders of the country literally playing by their own rules.

Paul points out the way we should be living- the social structure which should be the only way of life;
Rom 13;10 "Love does NO wrong to it's neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfilment of the law!"
Imagine when we are all living to that standard there will be a peaceful encouraging, uplifting, environment- much to live for and productive to the good of all.

Glad that God actually accomplishes ALL things- He is, after all, the source of our being, and we are, after all, His children through our saviour, Christ.

ergo true equality.
Rom 11;32 " For God has consigned all to disobedience so that He may show mercy to all."

I love Romans 11:32.. another hard to believe it is missed verse! It becomes more and more incredible to me, all the missed verses!

My favorite place to read verses is at bible hub, the interlinear, as it's word for word translation with the hebrew/greek numbers above with links to those hebrew/greek words.. once in a while, in our bible translations, there are whole phrases added by translators..

What I find most amazing (in a bad way) is how the gospel, as presented, and teachers of it, actually contradict what God or Jesus has said!
