Daily Gospel Verses 📚⭐️
     ~~ July 2 ~~
Luke 3:15-22; Mark 1:9-13
The people were excited and were wondering if John was the promised Messiah. But John said, ?I am just baptizing with water. One mightier than I will come and he will baptize with the Spirit/Presence of God and with fire!? (God?s fire is Love, as he ?is love? 1Jn.4:8.) ?His winnowing fork is in his hand, he will separate the husk from the wheat. The wheat he will store in his barn, and the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.?
I realize just now, a farmer can have more than one barn! Saw such just the other day traveling across country.. ?Some (stored in one barn) will rise into aionion life? an age/duration of life - i.e. into the millenium.. ?The rest of the dead? (stored in another barn) ?rise after that thousand years? ?into ?aionion kolasis/correction? an age of correction ? It?s the same learning process for ?all? God?s children (yet unique to all). The fire that burns the chaff/husk, does a 💯% job. [Rev.20:5, Jn.5:28-29, Mt.25:46, Eph.1:10!]
John however minced no words about Herod.. (so after a while Herod threw him into prison).
Jesus himself came out to be baptized.. And when he rose up out of the water, John saw the Spirit/Presence of God rest upon him in the form of a dove and a voice said ?This is my beloved Son, in him I am well pleased? ? eudoke? - to think well of, think it good, am resolved, from eudok?ō, what seems good and pleasingly acceptable. (Note: Jesus is called ?the first/proto?.)
