So, here are some verses on His return, and how it will be. Once I point out how He will be manifested, I think it will show that 70AD was not the fulfillment of this.

2Co 13:5  Keep examining yourselves to see whether you are continuing in the faith. Test yourselves! You know, don't you, that Jesus the Messiah lives in you? Could it be that you are failing the test?

Gal 1:15  But when God, who set me apart before I was born and who called me by his grace, was pleased
Gal 1:16  to reveal his Son to me so that I might proclaim him among the gentiles, I did not confer with another human being at any time

Gal 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Col 1:26  the secret that hath been hid from the ages and from the generations, but now was manifested to his saints,
Col 1:27  to whom God did will to make known what is the riches of the glory of this secret among the nations—which is Christ in you, the hope of the glory

Col 1:5  For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel

1Co 15:19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable

Rom 8:16  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Rom 8:17  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

1Co 13:12  for we see now through a mirror obscurely, and then face to face; now I know in part, and then I shall fully know, as also I was known

Rom 8:18  For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory about to be revealed in us;
Rom 8:19  for the earnest looking out of the creation doth expect the revelation of the sons of God;
Rom 8:20  for to vanity was the creation made subject—not of its will, but because of Him who did subject it —in hope,
Rom 8:21  that also the creation itself shall be set free from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the children of God;
Rom 8:22  for we have known that all the creation doth groan together, and doth travail in pain together till now.
Rom 8:23  And not only so , but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, adoption expecting—the redemption of our body;
Rom 8:24  for in hope we were saved, and hope beheld is not hope; for what any one doth behold, why also doth he hope for it ?
Rom 8:25  and if what we do not behold we hope for, through continuance we expect it

2Co 3:18 and we all, with unvailed face, the glory of the Lord beholding in a mirror, to the same image are being transformed, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Jas 1:23  because, if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one hath been like to a man viewing his natural face in a mirror,
Jas 1:24  for he did view himself, and hath gone away, and immediately he did forget of what kind he was

Mat 24:30  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory
Mat 24:31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other

Mar 13:26  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Mat 25:31  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32  And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats

Heb 12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us

Eze 38:9  Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

Rev 1:7  Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Isa 19:1  The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

Act 2:17  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18  And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy

Luk 3:6  And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Exo 34:33  And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
Exo 34:34  But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
Exo 34:35  And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1Jn 3:2  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is

John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

I could have included more verses, but here is what I think. Christ will probably return in the Sons of God, when they are manifested. This may include being lifted up in the air literally. We see through the mirror darkly right now, like an enigma. But, when He appears, we will be like Him, as the final veil will be removed, and will be transformed into the same image(Or maybe we are the same image, but the veil prevents us from seeing that.)

Edit: was given another thing:

We will be able to speak to Him directly, as right now there is a veil(3 in total - Tabernacle) that prevents us from seeing Him fully and knowing Him fully. Just like when Moses went to speak to the Lord, he removed the veil, and shined brightly. While only Moses' face shined, our whole body will shine and be glorified.
John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Great verses! And I mostly agree - except with "Christ will probably return in the Sons of God, when they are manifested." which I agree with but not as the totality.. I don't believe in an unseen Jesus (though we don't see Him now, lol) or His return as unseen, so I believe we believers are "caught up" to "meet Him at His return" whether as a believing dead, or one who, as Paul said it "is alive and remains" (to that day)..

The verses I think of the most, when it comes to His return, which you've posted some of them.. But, to me, it encompasses the whole Day of the LORD, from the first trumpet of Rev. to when God the Father becomes "all in all" at Revelation chapter 21.

But first, I think it's not always seen, the difference between His return and "the Day of the LORD". Though you may be aware of this. That Jesus' return is kind of the conclusion of the day of Yhvh, which is what comes as a thief, i.e. on the sly, unexpectedly, not the return of Jesus.

[Because of certain verses, it's my belief man will have thermonuclear+ warfare (it's advanced a lot during this time since 1945, rev.13:13;6:12-17?) So that there will be the prophet Joel's smokey day and the moon will appear red, etc.. So I don't think Jesus' return is what comes as a thief - rev. 16:14,15,16]

Matthew 24
29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

    Some believe this refers only to Israel as being here "His elect".. but..

1 Thessalonians 4
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Thessalonians 1
7 to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting agelong? destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed. (Here's what Et misses - when are the disobedient punished with destruction? and of course how long.. How long "away from the presence of the Lord"? If agelong.. that would encompass the millennium, just as written "the rest of the dead come not back to life until the thousand years are ended". And, His coming "in flaming fire" is metaphor for the previously mentioned thermonuclear+

Revelation 16
14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15 "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame." 16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Gehenna Valley)

1 Corinthians 15
20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming.
— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible(prone to decay,dissolution) has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up..

Revelation 14 (an insert(?) and metaphor to describe the two harvests; the wheat into His barn, etc.)
Reaping the Earth's Harvest
14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
Reaping the Grapes of Wrath
17 Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe." 19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city.. (..And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Gehenna Valley)

Zechariah 14
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.

Micah 4
1 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days [the Millennium?]
That the mountain of the Lord's house
Shall be established on the top of the mountains,
And shall be exalted above the hills;
And peoples shall flow to it.
2 Many nations shall come and say,
"Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
He will teach us His ways,
And we shall walk in His paths."
For out of Zion the law shall go forth,
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
3 He shall judge between many peoples,
And rebuke strong nations afar off;
They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning hooks;
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
Neither shall they learn war anymore.
4 But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree,
And no one shall make them afraid;
For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.

Revelation 20
....And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again
until the thousand years were finished. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it,
from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened..

Micah 4 (continued)
6 "In that day," (what day? imo, Day of the LORD, and at "the judgment? Judgment Day/Day of Atonement fulfilled)
says the Lord,
"I will assemble the lame,
I will gather the outcast
And those whom I have afflicted;
7 I will make the lame a remnant,
And the outcast a strong nation;
So the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion
From now on, even forever.
8 And you, O tower of the flock,
The stronghold of the daughter of Zion,
To you shall it come,
Even the former dominion shall come,
The kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem."

1 Corinthians 15
24 Then comes the end[3], when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For "He has put all things under His feet." But when He says "all things are put under Him," it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

Revelation 21
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new."

And He said to me, (John) "Write, for these words are true and faithful."

6 And He said to me,(John) "It is done!" (the vision) "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." [But?] Jesus said He will draw all to Him, Jn 12:32. Imo, no humans in the "lof created for the devil and his angels".

Fall holy days fulfilled ='s Day of the LORD ='s Trumpets, 10 days/1000yrs later - Day Of Atonement, doa 4 the intitially doa - 5 days/500yrs later - Tabernacles/"all in all" ...festival of trees..

:Chinscratch: The same three as 1 Corinthians 15:22->28 and same three of Matthew 13:33 ! ..Oh wait, not quite -
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: [1]Christ the firstfruits, afterward [2]those who are Christ's at His coming. [TRUMPETS, ending w/ the last one/His return] 24 Then comes the end, [3]when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, [TABERNACLES] when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For "He has put all things under His feet." But when He says "all things are put under Him," it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him[3], then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.[TABERNACLES]

Matthew 13:33 Another parable He spoke to them: "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened."

Just to modify something I said before, I still think that Christ will be manifested in the Sons of Go, but we will also see Him. On the topic of mirror, I was thinking of a literal mirror, but now I realize it may be a metaphor, that we will reflect Jesus from us, not that the only way we can see Christ is with a mirror.

Have a friend that did a study on this, and I will put what I was given here:

Rev 1: 7

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Cloud
        The Hebrew so rendered means "a covering," because clouds cover
        the sky. The word is used as a symbol of the Divine presence, as
        indicating the splendour of that glory which it conceals (Ex.
        16:10; 33:9; Num. 11:25; 12:5; Job 22:14; Ps. 18:11

To unveil Christ in the sons of God means that Christ becomes visible to them and in them. Hebrews 10:20 speaks of "the veil, that is, His flesh." A veil hides the light, or the glory of Christ. The unveiling reveals that glory to the world. But, not to all at once. Jesus  returns with a veil. He will be visible, yet also veiled, because there will be many on earth who, like Israel, would flee from Him in His glory (Ex. 34:30).

He will be visible as he was after his resurrection but veiled at the same time, thats why this part of scriptue confuses people...

and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.

When the sons of God come to earth they will be veiled and unveiled as well. This is a process that will continue as people die in the flesh and until All are in All  Everything is a process. Who knows how long it will take. I used to think it happened instantly when Jesus returned.

I believe that all men will see Christ, but at first most will see Him only in the sons of God (overcomers). No one will see Christ without passing through the barriers of the three veils.

When we read of the veil that separates man from God, as depicted in the Temple, we should really view this as three veils that separate men from God.

Veils
The first was the door to the outer court. In Jesus' day a wall separated the women and gentiles, who were unable to enter through the door. Paul referred to this wall in Ephesians 2:14,

14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall.

The second barrier was the door of the Sanctuary itself, which was restricted to priests and Nazarites.

The third barrier was the veil into the Most Holy Place, which restricted everyone except for the High Priest, who was allowed to enter only on one day in the year—the Day of Atonement.

I believe this is the purpose of the unveiling of the sons of God and  the unveiling of His glory. John says in Rev. 1:7 that "every eye will see Him. However, John does not say how or at what point in time.  I believe that, in time, every eye will see Him, but only after they have been prepared by going through the proper door, or veils. They must first be justified by faith, then sanctified by the Spirit, and only then will they enter that final veil and behold His glory face to face
John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

onlytruth

Yes the sons of god will be manifested, this is the rapture the new age in the twinkling of an eye
As Jesus said ...we will do even greater things

 :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Amen! And when all is said and done, accomplished, just imagine how wonderful “life” will be when all have the mind (and heart, motives) “of Christ”! All will be like Jesus..
:cloud9:

God is ‘replicating’ Jesus? Although He is forever the “firstborn, only begotten and is forever preeminent”. What is the computer or manufacturing word for the first one.. I can’t think of it.. not mold.. the “original” ..can’t think of the word.. :doh:
:gsmile:

P.S. ML, very interesting about the three veils! :thumbsup:

It's interesting to note in Rev 19 it says the "testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy" which reminds us that "prophecy" and the "gift of" isn't a foretelling of the future - although the Spirit does "reveal things to come" - but the gift of prophecy per Romans 12(?) is to "make known the divine will".

Which made my mind leap to thinking prophecy or the fulfilling of, also, is to "make known the divine will"...(?) ..I guess that would be obviously true..? I would think all things in this learning of (chewing upon the understanding and knowing of) good from evil.. are to "make known the will of God".. what He wants, purposes and intends? How HE wants things to be...?
