PS. Mt. Sinai was a wedding contract/ketubah.
Mmmmm, I'm not so sure about that. If they wouldn't have messed up by making the golden calf (Egyption godess Hator) would they have be married right there? Maybe the clouds were a Cuppah?
I don't see a wedding contract but then I'm almost blind :gpg:
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

:cloud9: I can't go into how much I see it as a wedding contract/joining, due to the family oriented status of this board. So for now, I have to be on mute.  :footmouth: :laughing7:

That doesn't sound like the contract but the marriage itself.

His whole reason for writing that article was to say original sin doesn't exist. He says they sin by choice and implies that we could stop sinning if we wants to. Furthermore, he clearly states we weren't made sinners by Adam's transgression or are we saved necessarily because of Christ obedience He isn't a universalist because he says as if it if fact "We know universal salvation is not supported by the bible".

I thought his whole reason was to show that the seed of God in every man.

Do you know how to search a web page using CTRL+F?  I just found out today.
"We know universal salvation is not supported by the bible". is not in the article.

Universal salvation is not mentioned in the article.

Are we talking about the same article?

Do those sinners also receive corrective punishment upon request?
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...

Romans 5:13-14
13 for until law sin was in the world, yet sin is not being taken into account when there is no law;

14 nevertheless death reigns from Adam unto Moses, over those also who do not sin in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him Who is about to be.(CL New Testament)

These verses have me truly wondering what it means??!!!
I have read the whole chapter and I see where it states ALL have sin because of Adam's transgression.

I am maybe thinking it has something to do with the law and before the law was given by God to Moses. Sin was still there from Adam to Moses and I reference  this verse(s)

Romans 3:20
20 because, by works of law, no flesh at all shall be justified in His sight, for through law is the recognition of sin.

Romans 7:7
7 What, then, shall we declare? That the law is sin? May it not be coming to that! But sin I knew not except through law. For besides, I had not been aware of coveting except the law said, "You shall not be coveting."

The article that started this thread and the author is taking one verse out of context and seems to be making a doctrine out of it(go figure!!!). There are so many scriptures that state man is not sinless and this also seems to me that the author is promoting some sort of free will here concerning sin.

Hope someone can help explain this to me.

"Very mistaken men teach a monstrous doctrine: that little babies open their eyes in this world as sinners, under the wrath of God, and condemned to the everlasting punishment of hell. They teach that new born babies who die without baptism will go into the "torments of hell forever." They take Bible texts from their context in order to teach this. One of the Bible texts that they use to support this horrible dogma is Ephesians 2:3: "...and were by nature the children of wrath."

We will examine this text in its context later (along with other texts that they take out of context); but now I want to present more than one hundred texts from the Bible that show that little babies are created upright and in the image and likeness of God, and that it is impossible for them to be sinners until they have reached the "age of accountability" and know the difference between good and evil." Alfred T. Overstreet  The Gospel Truth  OVER ONE HUNDRED TEXTS FROM THE BIBLE THAT SHOW THE DOCTRINE OF ORIGINAL SIN IS UNBIBLICAL AND FALSE

Should one believe and is convinced of a place of "eternal torment" called hell, then this person's writings will be embraced. Other than that imo no rebuttal is /are worthy. :HeartThrob:

I agree. I know Christians that believe in this ET doctrine and they are still as dead as they where before and honestly think they are not truly happy. Oh they can put on a good face when around others but what happens when they are alone and to themselves is a whole another animal.I know this  because I was just like that. Not judging but praying God,according to His will, that He will open their eyes so they truly know the freedom that comes from His truth.
